It’s been awhile since I introduced myself…
I’m Perry — a collaborative printer based in Western North Carolina. I work with artists of all levels, from emerging voices to internationally acclaimed names, helping them create hand-printed lithographs, monotypes, and other printed media, through an intensive, collaborative studio process.
Recent projects include collaborations with celebrated artists like Mark Dion, Matt Magee, and Laylah Ali, as well as remarkable regional artists like Katie Walker, Julyan Davis, and Bill Killebrew. I’m also thrilled to have upcoming publishing projects with Elisabeth Condon and Glenn Goldberg.
If you’re curious about the printmaking process, collecting original works on paper, or supporting artists and print culture in the Southeast, I’d love to keep in touch.
✨ Join my mailing list for exclusive updates and offers — including early access to print releases, sales, invitations to public talks, studio demos, and open house events. Link in bio.
Hand-printed lithographs are not only beautiful and collectible — they’re also a meaningful and affordable way to begin or grow an art collection.

It was blend week at the studio. Working on a project for @jeanwmclaughlin four small editions, each built from a unique blend roll to set the tone.
It was one of those weeks where color became the whole conversation. We kept pushing combinations to evoke different states of landscape and light: icy winter shifts, spring misty mornings, and that slow golden-hour fade at the end of the day.
By the end of it, the plate had absolutely given everything it had. Same litho plate carried all four editions, through the press nearly a hundred times this week. You can see it in the last slides, well past “used,” fully earned its keep.
Time for the scrap pile, old friend.

For the last 3 days I have been working with Perry Obee @obeeeditions working on a series of mono prints. When you work with a professional-it always elevates your productivity. Working with Perry has been a wonderful experience and I recommend finding a way find a way to seek him out for a project. My painter chaos-to-order creative process challenged Perry at times, but he figured out my rhythm and helped me work within the rules of the printmaking kingdom. He was the perfect “wingman” of the studio world.
Last Impression: “The Right Hand – Skeleton” by Mark Dion @markdionstudio depicts a traditional taxonomic drawing of a skeletal hand, but instead of anatomical labels Dion playfully upends the authority we associate with scientific diagrams with names of surrealist artists, transforming a familiar system of classification into something humorous, strange, and slightly absurd. View online at link in bio.
Mark Dion, The Right Hand - Skeleton, Stone lithograph, 13 in. x 11 in., Edition of 15. Only ONE impression remaining!
Produced through a reversal technique, the print achieves the effect of chalk on a blackboard by printing rich black lithographic ink on soft-white paper. The result is a deep black surface from which the skeletal form emerges with striking clarity.
Mark Dion is internationally recognized for work that examines how institutions shape our understanding of history, culture, and the natural world. Dion has exhibited widely at major institutions including recent large scale installations at Pérez Art Museum Miami and the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum. He has had major solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art and Tate, and is the recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship.

“Mars Hill (3)” by Glenn Goldberg. A four-color stone lithograph printed on Hahnemuhle Copperplate paper. 21 in. x 15.5 in. Edition of 15. @glennandgoldberg
Part of a suite of 3 lithographs, this print was created at Obee Editions during Glenn’s fall 2025 residency @emersondorschartistresidency in Mars Hill, NC. Working in quiet isolation, on a hilltop with shifting weather, creaking trees, and visits from three goats, Goldberg focused on making “low volume” work: gentle, open, and restorative.
The resulting prints offer a pause within a crowded world. Suspended figures drift through airy space, with soft color and a visible hand creating a sense of calm and balance.
Glenn Goldberg is a New York–based artist known for contemplative paintings, works on paper, sculpture, and public commissions exploring balance, suspension, and emotional presence through simplified, hovering forms.

What an amazing weekend at The Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair!
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate printmaking and printmakers, and especially to Ann, Luther, Brian, and the entire @powerhouse_arts crew, and everyone who made this happen. It’s a huge endeavor, and it went off beautifully.
Thank you as well to all the artists, printers, publishers, schools, and attendees who helped make the weekend such a success. The energy, support, and conversations were truly overwhelming.
I only hope this year goes as fast as last year because I can’t wait to be back.
Home now in the mountains of North Carolina and back in the studio today, already thinking ahead to next year.
Hope to see you all soon.
Cheers,
Perry
