After a fun adventurous week exploring the island & the Nature Trail route, race day at
@seychellestrail delivered!! 👌🏽
Conditions were very good. A drop in humidity, warm sunshine light, and very little of last year’s mudbath — it was a great day for trail running.
The abundant smiles at the finish were evidence of 21km of magic, with 2–7 hours deeply immersed in the super scenic forest and coastline.
This course has just the right length and technicality to give both inexperienced and elite runners a challenging route they could appreciate.
The jaw-dropping protected forest is pristine. The enormous palms and tall leafy, vine-entwined trees covered with thick green moss are truly avatar-esque. Add massive black lava rocks, white sand, and turquoise ocean stretching to the horizon, and you have a trail experience that may be one of the most spectacular on the planet.
Congratulations to every smiling finisher who kept moving even when the steep climbs & technical boulder sections tested you. 👏🏽🏁🇸🇨
This was a day we will never forget. Huge thanks to
@runmagsa for introducing us to this incredible event, and to
@visitseychelles and
@bigambitionsza for making it possible for us to be there and experience the magic of the Seychelles Trail.
