🧹 Hoy desempolvamos ShiverShield, un wargame de escaramuzas de #@oakbound_studio en el que nos adentramos en el gran bosque de Talamhar, un lugar donde los Tuatha, humanos que han perdido el favor de las hadas, sobreviven como pueden entre criaturas de otros planos. Un entorno hostil, mágico y lleno de peligros donde cada facción lucha por mantenerse con vida en un mundo que ya no los protege.
⚙️ En ShiverShield tendremos que personalizar nuestro bando, eligiendo entre distintos clanes inspirados en el folklore celta. El sistema se basa en 5 atributos principales que generan otros 5 secundarios, determinando desde la capacidad de combate cuerpo a cuerpo hasta la habilidad para comandar a otros personajes. El juego avanza por turnos, y el orden de activación se gestiona mediante una tabla de turnos que deberemos anticipar y manipular para sacar ventaja. Las rondas continúan hasta llegar al turno 12, hasta que una banda queda sin miniaturas o hasta que se cumple la misión. Cada partida dura aproximadamente 1 hora.
🎲 La temática es uno de los puntos más fuertes del juego, junto con su enorme libertad de personalización. Cada banda tiene habilidades propias, pero lo más llamativo es su modo campaña, donde los personajes evolucionan a lo largo de múltiples partidas. Podremos elegir entre los caminos propios de cada banda o los que aparecen al final del reglamento, ampliando aún más las posibilidades. Además, el juego permite usar miniaturas de otros sistemas, haciendo que la experiencia sea menos restrictiva y mucho más abierta a la creatividad del jugador.
🏁 En definitiva, ShiverShield es un juego que nos transporta al folklore celta con toda su mitología, ofreciendo combates de escaramuzas muy cuidados y una progresión que invita a seguir jugando para ver cómo evolucionan nuestros personajes. Una experiencia que recuerda a los wargames clásicos, con miniaturas modeladas a mano y un espíritu artesanal que conecta con los inicios del hobby.
