Dr. Amina Sambo Magaji (PhD): An Icon of Women Development By Godwin Favour Chigozie, PRO – Youth for Women Empowerment and Education Initiative in Nigeria During a courtesy visit, our organization recommended that the Best Female Graduating Student in Computer Science be honored with the Dr. Amina Sambo Magaji Award, presented by the Youth for Women Empowerment and Education Initiative in Nigeria. This recognition will come with a cash gift, aimed at inspiring and empowering more women to pursue excellence in ICT. Dr. Amina Sambo Magaji, the first Nigerian woman to earn a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, stands as a trailblazer and role model for young women aspiring to break barriers in technology and academia. The program was graced by distinguished delegates including the National Coordinator Amb. Ibrahim Ibrahim (Leader of the Delegation), Amb. Rahma Salihu, Amb. Bala Ismail, and Amb. Oregbemi Titi. HalHad Foundation CEO Honored as Icon of Women Development Amb. Halimat Hadi, the Founder and CEO of the HalHad Foundation, has been honoured with the prestigious Icon of Women Development award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to girl-child and women empowerment in Nigeria. The award presentation was led by Amb. Ibrahim Ibrahim, alongside a delegation comprising Amb. Rahma Salihu, Amb. Bala Ismail, and Amb. Rasheedat Shehu. The event highlighted Amb. Hadi’s ongoing initiatives through the HalHad Foundation, which focuses on advocacy, education, and capacity building for girls and women. In her acceptance speech, Amb.
