Ernährungstipps für unsere Sporttalente, denn es gilt ⚡️ Energiedefizite zu vermeiden 🥗 Mangelerscheinungen vorbeugen 🏋️‍♀️ Immunsystem stärken Lernende des Förderprogramms Leistungssport der St.Galler Berufsfachschulen durften auch dieses Jahr wieder einen gemeinsamen Teamevent erleben. Die Sporttalente vom GBS, KBZ und BZGS St.Gallen nahmen an einem Workshop zur Sporternährung von NutriPerformX teil. Die Teilnehmenden erhielten wertvolle Einblicke darin, was, wie viel und wann sie idealerweise essen sollten, lernten, wie sich Sportgetränke einfach selbst mischen lassen, und entdeckten günstige sowie gesunde Alternativen zu zuckerreichen Riegeln. 🍌 Das Rezept der Powerballs darf gerne selbst ausprobiert werden. Today I had a conversation with @yannickwilhelmi , professional squash player and current world No. 38 We talked about supplements and what could help him gain the extra mile that will make him even more successful. It is a bit confusing because the supplement world is filled with buzz, especially in the context of sports performance. At the same time, it’s a big business that can come with its own set of challenges. For a professional athlete, it is very important to look into this topic carefully and constantly ask questions: 🚦Is it safe to use (doping?) 🤷🏻‍♂️Is its use practical? 🔬What does the science say? Is the testing real? 🧱Does my effort (sport) actually benefit from the claims of the supplements? 🧩Is this something that I‘m actually missing? 🚥What are pros & cons? Young athletes are the future and nutrition is part of their foundation. Working with Swiss Olympic partner schools and cantonal institutions has shown me one thing very clearly: young athletes are the future of sport. ⚠️As a sports nutritionist, my biggest priority is supporting youth and young athletes early on. Because nutrition knowledge shouldn’t start at elite level, but at the beginning of the journey. 📈Building healthy habits, understanding food, and learning how nutrition supports performance and recovery from a young age lays the foundation for long-term success. Connecting exercise & nutritional science has always been my passion, and being objective in nutrition counselling can be difficult due to the nature of the topic or limited measurement techniques. 🧑🏼‍🏫Few weeks ago I was accepted to the 2 year program „Diploma of Sports Nutrition“ of the International Olympic Committee. Carbs - you should love them (in most cases): 🔋they are our energy source nr. 1 ❌they DON‘T make you fat - how old is that myth👻 ⏱️timing has a big effect on weight management, mood swings, sleep quality and athletic performance For athletes, amateurs and non-golfers this is a key area.
