GET INVOLVED!!
Alongside @northumbriaarchsoc we are hosting a design competition to address the issues caused by climate inflicted disasters.
The competition is open to all year groups and will take place on the week of the 13th of November. We will be competing against Cardiff, Manchester, Bath, Sheffield and Newcastle and we want to make an Impact!
NUCAN + NAS are uniting this academic year!!
From September 2023, NAS and NUCAN (our climate conscious sister society) are combining to form the new generation of NAS.
As you may probably know, this week the hottest day was recorded since records began, as the climate emergency becomes more and more urgent, we as the generation of architects have a duty to design buildings for the future. NAS and NUCAN share the same values and we think that it is super important that our members benefit from NUCANs excellent contacts in the sustainability world.
For anyone who is new to NUCAN, this year they held a number of interesting lectures that all contributed to designing regenerative and sustainable architecture. Their focus and passion for sustainability is admirable and we are so excited to be working together this academic year!
Please go and explore their page @nu.climateaction and take a look at their manifesto which is located in their bio.
