We had a blast at @nottszinefest last weekend - staff and students of @ntugraphics were there selling copies of Duel, a clamorous and clashing zine of opposition and argument. Each zine is a unique combination of designs created by students who attended our zine making workshop, and all proceeds from sales have been donated to charity.

Sounds of the city… recorded and translated phonetically… reimagined typographically… Level 4 students have been busy creating their own soundscape posters that convey and evoke the multiplicity of sounds encountered whilst on location in the city. Can type be heard as easily as it’s seen? Can it be clamorous? Resonant? Whistling? Thunderous? Whimpering? Echoing? Deafening? Can it hum or sigh or buzz or rumble? Judging by the quality of the work on show, we’d say so.
