Dipa Dilip, BA (Hons) Illustration. I’m a final year (BA) Illustration student who likes to focus on themes such as Hinduism and Indian Culture which are personal and meaningful sources of inspiration. Through my work, I aim to create visually appealing artwork that communicates meaningful stories in hopes to form a deep connection with people. I try to create a balance of traditional and digital artwork as experimenting with different materials will enable me to develop my skills and broaden my creative approach. Reflection is essential process for my work as it allows me to continuously improve and refine overtime. I view my art as a way of sharing my cultural experiences with others, striving to create work that is both engaging and relatable while reaching wider audience. Lily Crawshaw, BA (Hons) Fine Art. "Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and Contemporary artists such as Peter Doig, Tracy Emin and Catherine Bradford, I find myself driven by momentary surfacing associations, bridging my subconscious and artistic decisions of colour, weight and composition. I am especially interested in male dynamics, and the conflicting themes of patriarchal structures, parenthood and intimate friendship. The works invite the viewer to question the nature of these relationships, allowing them to address their own inner preconceptions." Exploring Siberian shamanic traditions through a research-led graphic design project. BA (Hons) Graphic Design student Jay Wells explores ritual, folklore, and survival in his final project, centred around Siberian reindeer herding communities and the traditions tied to psychoactive mushrooms used in shamanic practices. As a mature student, Jay returned to education after taking a career break to study full-time, an experience he says has helped shape a more focused and disciplined creative approach.

Tasha Blackburn, BA (Hons) Costume Design and Construction. My two final year projects are both based on children's books that explore more complex emotional themes, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Where Ocean Meets Sky by The Fan Brothers, allowing for interesting explorations of character through costume. I enjoy linking design elements back to important story beats to help develop an intricate visual narrative. This extends into my personal projects, where I try to weave in story elements wherever possible. I have a deep love for costume and craft, and look forward to seeing where my creative journey takes me next. Brooke Doughty’s final project flips the script on who gets to see university as an option. Studying BA (Hons) Fashion Management, her business plan focuses on opening up access for students from rural and underrepresented areas, like the one she’s from near Lincoln, encouraging more people to consider higher education and creative courses. Shaped by her own experience and support from NTU, Brooke’s work is about making the path feel possible.
