Finally out! Nike Air Liquid Max 💧 @fujiwarahiroshi colab version “Each aspect of the Liquid Max works in unison to offer next-level comfort, with Nike innovators applying a systematic, less-is-more approach to every component. Challenging themselves to come as close to the feeling of walking on air as possible, they engineered a contoured Air unit that’s flexible and intentionally low to the ground. This becomes point-loaded Air, situated only where needed underfoot and surrounded by cored-out areas of negative space, which eliminates excess material and weight while lending the Liquid Max its unique geometry. The result is a soft, smooth and stable ride that supports a fluid transition with every step.” Nike Innovation team Jeremy Webber @thewayneski3000 Ben Monfils @bigben73 Melanie Moteberg @mnmoteberg Travis Berrian @tberrian Ditte Kuijpers @ditisditte Wade Flannagan @wadeflan Sam Kass Maria Zwerger Nike Inline team Maryah Chan @mlourdeschan Mike McCoy @mmccoy23 Raleigh Willard @raleighwillard Juliana Sagat @julianas______ Dylan Raasch @dylanraasch Andy Caine @andycaine08 Tae Lee Creative Direction / Photography Jake Gevalt @jgevalt Ugo Cesare @ugocesare_

on view: Jan28-Feb8 @965bkk Extreme Repair Lab @x_rep_obj Bangkok Design Week @bangkokdesignweek CU INDA @cuinda “Extreme Repair Lab” presents work from Year 4 design students at CU INDA, applying architectural thinking to product design. The work addresses contemporary topics of sustainability, consumption and innovation through the lens of repair. Repair is proposed here as a design methodology to reimagine objects through the hybridizing of typologies and aesthetics. The designers bring maximalist formal approaches and extreme functional proposals to the otherwise very humble endeavor of repair - reconfiguring and upgrading the original product into something completely unexpected. The studio’s focus is on the objects found in domestic spaces, reimagined via extreme repair for future living scenarios. The work is carried out through phygital workflows where the designers mix 3d-scanning, digital modeling and 3d-printing with hand-craft and hand-drawing. Final outcomes are not simple repairs and restorations but new and bold objects, emerging to invite collective dreaming about yet unseen futures.
