Graphite shafts are made from prepreg.
Basically, prepreg is a layer of carbon fibers impregnated with resin.
Golf shaft manufacturers generally out-sources their prepreg, so they have a limited choices of fibers and resin.
TPT is different because we manufacture our own prepreg internally.
Thanks to NTPT businesses (the mother company of TPT Golf), we’ve qualified an extensive range of carbon fibers. This gives us more freedom in our designs.
Furthermore, regarding the resin, we develop our own formulation internally. This allows us to make prepreg that works with our proprietary automated process. Again, here we can fine tune the formulation to bring specific characteristics to our material.
At the end, our engineering team has a wide range of prepreg at their disposal. Even better, they will not hesitate to create a new prepreg if they need the shaft to match specific properties.

Last weekend, @benoit_marie_navigateur won the Pornichet Select 6.50 race with Nicomatic, congratulations to him! 👏
The Nicomatic foils were developed a few years ago through a collaboration with @benoit_marie_navigateur and @caroboule .
The foils allow the Nicomatic to "fly" above the waves, and therefore :
1. reduce the drag of the hull
2. increase speed of the boat
3. improve stability in rough seas
NTPT's solutions for hydrofoils on compact boats guarantee scalable and efficient foils.
