So, this has taken forever to do… a combination of not knowing when it was “finished” & only being able to work on it in bursts due to my epilepsy.
This started off as a cat skull and a “wonder if I can”… then it just kept going.
I learned a lot about Nomad and 3D sculpture/rendering in general.

For those of you that have had the chance to have experienced my mom, Pat Svitko, I want to let you know that she passed away on Tuesday afternoon.
She had a lung transplant 8 years ago. She was able to enjoy life for those next 8 years but unfortunately her body began chronically rejecting the lung two months ago.
She was one of the strongest, most stubborn people I’ve ever known and my brother Derek & I will miss her greatly.
If you are in the area, there will be a memorial service at Bekavac’s Funeral Home in McKeesport, Pa on Monday from 4-7pm.

For the last year+ I’ve been making pottery at Clayworks, Charlotte. I’ve never posted anything, but with their 20th Anniversary event this weekend I thought it might be a good time to show some work.
All are wheel thrown and altered, except for one wip sculpture at the end. The work varies from cone 5/6 ox, cone 10 gas, salt firing, and Raku.

This broad has made it through 10 years of marriage with me as of today. 15 years since we met. Those numbers don’t even seem real. It’s a cliche, but I do love her more every day. She inspires me and makes me want to do better and be more. I love you @estko . Happy 10 year anniversary.
Finished this for a show at @fluxgalleries months ago and never got around to posting it.
The process takes a while. Starting with a 3D a sculpt/rendering, finding the exact angle that the finished piece will have, locking it in, then exporting every color combo as PNG’s to be layered in Photoshop, which will then be added to or subtracted from until they are flattened into a single image.
