On May 13, we want to urge the FWC Commissioners to either delay the vote or expand prohibited species for exhibition to include endangered and threatened animals listed by Florida and the IUCN/CITES
Since 2018, hundreds of large threatened and endangered marine animals have been permitted by the FWC for capture and sale for exhibition far outside Florida.
This undermines conservation efforts and negatively effects species that should be left to flourish in Florida waters.
