Introducing “Book Batteries,” an initiative by @tarberak_studio and @npatakplatform , dedicated to collecting reading lists from architectural studios, as part of the fourth month [March] of the new season of “12 Months,” based on which LFA has prepared a brochure. • Reading lists from studios: AMUNT, Bureau, Muoto, Lütjens Padmanabhan, FALA, Anna & Eugeni Bach, Meganom, d’Arvestanots, TarberAK, STOHA, and Karen Balyan, with commentary from some of the studios. • A limited number of the brochures are still available at the library. You are welcome to visit, pick one up, and explore books from the lists available at the library. On Tuesday, March 31 at 19:00, as part of the fourth month [March] of the new season of “12 Months,” curator Karen Berberyan @berberyank will shortly describe a new initiative for LFA titled “Book Batteries,” which is dedicated to collecting reading lists for the library from various architectural studios. • Reading lists from studios AMUNT, Bureau, Muoto, Lütjens Padmanabhan, FALA, Anna & Eugeni Bach, Meganom, d’Arvestanots, TarberAK, and Karen Balyan will be presented in the library, alongside a selection of the books they feature. • Reader language: English Event language: Armenian • Free entrance! The fourth month [March] of the “12 Months” explores the theme “Productive Constraints” curated by TarberAK Architectural Studio and NPATAK Educational Foundation in collaboration with Elli Mosayebi and Heghine Berkowitsch-Grigoryan. • Elli Mosayebi is Associate Professor of Architecture and Design at the ETH Zurich. The architecture firm @emiarchitektinnen , which she co-founded, places particular emphasis on urban design and residential construction, for which it has won numerous awards. • Heghine Berkowitsch-Grigoryan is a Swiss-based architect originally from Yerevan. She studied architecture at Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction and earned her Master of Science in Advanced Urban Design from Columbia University’s GSAPP. • Productive Constraints • In practice, architects work with a place’s real conditions, including traditions, materials, climate, and sociopolitical, legal, and economic forces that subtly shape architecture. Designing in Yerevan requires responding to these unavoidable factors. Hello everyone! This September, the NPATAK International Architecture Festival took place, bringing together over 20 leading architects from 10 studios across 7 countries, including Neri&Hu, OFFICE KGDVS, Muoto, NOMOS, DF_DC, Förstberg Ling, Anna & Eugeni Bach, PIOVENEFABI, Langarita Navarro, DRDH, and more. • LFA is especially grateful to @npatakplatform and all the studios for the 18 gifted books, which have now enriched our library collection. Սեպտեմբերի 14-ին Վուդս կենտրոնում կայացավ ՆՊԱՏԱԿ միջազգային ճարտարապետական փառատոնի 6-րդ օրը։ Օրը սկսվեց Վուդս կենտրոնի հեղինակ Գարեգին Եղոյանի հետ շրջայցով․ նա ներկայացրեց շենքի պատմությունը և այն գաղափարները, որոնք թաքնված են այս պատերի ետևում։ Հետո լսեցինք DRDH (Միացյալ Թագավորություն), Langarita Navarro (Իսպանիա), Piovenefabi (Ֆրանսիա) և KGDVS (Բելգիա) ելույթները։ Օրն ամփոփեցինք Վուդսի տանիքում՝ անտառի տեսարանը վայելելով։ Շնորհակալություն @npatakplatform թիմին և բոլորին, ովքեր միացան մեզ: - On September 14, the 6th day of the NPATAK International Architecture Festival took place at Woods Center. The day began with a tour led by the architect of the Woods Center, Garegin Yeghoyan, who shared the history of the building and the ideas woven into its very walls. We then heard presentations from DRDH (UK), Langarita Navarro (Spain), Piovenefabi (France), and KGDVS (Belgium).
