Been really diggin this tune called Showuwot by Brook, out now on @trustaudiodnb ! It was in my last guest mix, and I had to drop it last night. Such a bouncy, fun tune with some footwork elements and a vocal to play around.
Was incredibly fun to do a b2b with my best friend, @conductor_dnb ! I told her to just do her thing and Id play off it. Set went over super well and we had a damn good time doing it. The fun of not knowing whats going to happen is those beautiful moments of chaos occurring out of thin air, everyone experiencing it simultaneously for the first time. The reactions are 100% authentic, and it either goes or it doesnt.

Nah, we ain't done yet!
I always try to show tunes IN the mix, as a progression through sound to showcase how something sounds in sequence. Not only do I want ravers to love it, I want to push the minds of DJs for how music can be used by them, how they can set up those big knockout punches to send ravers feral.
My approach is simple: I add whats not there, then play around elements to keep it cohesive. No magic spells, just really listening intently to whats present and what that can sit well with. The triple that concludes this video for example sees the melodies of Valhalla and War By Remote play off one another while the swing of Suicide Bassline makes the blend almost feel like its melting, if that makes sense.That swing ties back to the blend at the beginning of the sequence.

Playing in Puerto Rico was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. That energy, that crowd, that...place. If you've never been to Puerto Rico, you are SORELY missing out. I look forward to coming back to rock for one of the most amazing DnB scenes in the US.
I've been asked about my set multiple times, so I decided to do a studio mix. Some of the original tunes had to be replaced, so I subbed in some recent promo from Gifta, Miyamoro, Stonx and Anizo to go with some recent tunes I dig.
My original set was 93 tunes in 90 minutes. This is 98 in 80 and showcases exactly what I'm about behind decks. Pressure, complex blends, and frankly goofiness. Just a toddler-sized adult trying to make you need botox from the permanent stankface.

Scorched Planet is an ominous tune that packs some serious atmosphere with it. Techy in nature, it sits really well in the mix with tracks that offer intensity and weight. The haunting vocal additions to specific phrases really creates drama when paired properly!
Mixing this tune very much outlines why vibe matters so so much. When you match that aura, it creates a sonic experience that transcends the barrier of a singular track to create a narrative. Music will always land harder when youre playing them with intent, which is the origin of the infamous 'take them on a journey'.
