I started filming my friends all the way from high school to our mid 20s. Over the years, I’ve compiled several hard drives worth of memories ranging from road trips, birthdays, beach excursions, and casual meetups. In that time, I’ve spent countless hours organizing and editing these memories into individual video portraits that I’ve gifted to each one of my friends on their 25th birthday. Kind of like a time capsule in which they can see their growth. The short doc, 20s, is a compilation of these video portraits, accompanied by interviews I conducted with each of my participating friends. In the interviews, I asked them a series of personal questions relating to both their youth and the changing social climate. Watch “20s” by Alex Casimir with the link in our bio!
