Hey everyone, it’s the Watcher, in a different way than usual. Where it’s your turn to watch!
Simply wanted to present myself in a humanoid form and talk a bit about me and what brings me here.
Firstly, I am based in Montreal and studying for a master’s in microbiology and immunology (but more the microbiology part, because… it’s cooler 🙂↕️) at the University of Montreal.
I’ve always had an interest in understanding life from a young age. Over time, I developed a curiosity about the microworld, especially bacteria! I asked myself on simple questions like: Why do these very small creatures impact us so much in different ways? From being incredible killers to indispensable allies, or even, how they are so resilient and live everywhere, from volcanoes to our brains.
So I’ve long thought about buying a microscope so I could finally observe this world, specially different from ours. And that’s when I met Chloé/
@tardibabe , who opened my eyes to a fascinating universe! And I thank her deeply ❤️🔥
What brought me to do artistic microscopy? It all started with mold on a grape. A university friend brought it to me to check it with my new microscope. So I brought the moldy grape home and checked it and It was strangely beautiful! So I made my first post on Instagram and a new chapter began.
I am glad to have the opportunity to discuss with many of you and to see you evolve as much as I do in our art and passion. Really a privilege for me to have these interactions.
Finally, my pseudonym: Nowhere_watcher, came from the fact that everything I watch under the microscope looks like a place out of this world, a nowhere for our natural human sight. And then, I combined the two words. High IQ here 🤓
A special thanks to my good friend
@zacharieian for the photos. They were taken with a film camera.
