Meet Dr. Jung Weon Lee, one of the judges for Evident’s 6th Annual Image of the Year competition!
Dr. Lee is a professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University (SNU), Republic of Korea. His research has focused on cellular functions, particularly how morphological changes and diverse cellular activities occur at the molecular level under the control or influence of the tetraspanin TM4SF5 protein.
Currently, his research explores how TM4SF5 functions as an immune checkpoint and whether anti‑TM4SF5 reagents could serve as new therapeutic modalities for immune therapy against chronic liver diseases.
