Super happy to showcase my centerfold poster for the feb issue of @crackmagazine !! 🐇🔥🍓🕯️على بالي اللامبالاة 🐇🔥🍓🕯️ Went back to illustration (and cryptic symbolism lol) with this one, playing around with 3 of my favorite things: girly-pop memes, absurd surrealism and experimenting with Arabic letterforms. The chosen words in Arabic phonetically sound the same and is a subtle play on words. Which is read: A’ala Baly Al-La-Mobala. Using just 7 letters for a 17 letter statement. Forever treading the line between caring and not caring. With an abstract representation of a famous Egyptian saying that means: the evil eye has split the stone. 🪨🔥👁️🕯️العين فلقت الحجر 🪨🔥👁️🕯️ Which could blame your shaky state of mind on outside factors that are eating away at your energy (when it fact it could really be just you and your thoughts to blame here). Ironically, a state of la mobala is something you should already be in and not something you should be thinking of. And I 100% overthought a poster about my overthinking but hey at least it’s pink and has whipped cream covered strawberries 🍓✌🏼 🩷All the love to the crack team 🩷

Went analogue for the travelling notebook by @two_pages_project 🐟 🩷 🪱 🩷🪜 🩷 The notebook theme was searching, which I’m never not doing. Forever in search of meaning even when there isn’t any. Have to say starting something without an undo button was equal parts refreshing and terrifying. Ended up loving the overprint of the markers so much that I turned it into the final sketch. 💗💗💗here’s to sitting with the imperfections, pencil lines and ink bleeds 💗💗💗

Hosted my very first poster making workshop last Friday with @daybreakcairo and @brownnosecoffee Immaculate vibes, team and workshop results. 10/10 experience. In this workshop, independent designer Nada Sultan shares her creative and practical process of creating and prototyping an original event flyer. ABOUT NADA SULTAN Nada is a Cairo-based independent designer specialised in building visual identities with a focus on poster design and lettering, and with experimentation and storytelling at the heart of her process. I wanna see the little bits of inspiration that you just had to capture, this could be anywhere, whether while exploring a new city or walking within your own. What stopped you on your morning walk? What caught your eye? What lives just in your phone gallery? Inspired by the innate human need to capture and document and the beauty of stopping and noticing. I’ve personally accumulated countless of images that I just forget to look back at, so what if we all just took a second to go through our own galleries? At its essence, this is a visual experiment that’s yet to be defined. I’m curious if there are similarities, if there’s a pattern to what we enjoy and if someone else’s camera roll also never sees the light of day. Following last year’s stark monochrome statement, the visual identity of Arab Cinema Week Volume 4, once again designed by Nada Sultan, responds to a world still fractured—but now teeming with life, resistance, and growth. If Volume 3 stood as a stone artifact etched in stillness, this year’s identity breaks the surface, erupting with wild vegetation and organic overgrowth—symbolizing an unshakable sense of rootedness. Rooted in the complexities of place and belonging, Sultan’s design reflects a deep connection to land and memory. “The land knows who it belongs to,” the visual seems to whisper—and declare. In defiance of fabricated lines and limits, this year’s imagery insists on continuity, on belonging, on a quiet force that cannot be uprooted. This identity doesn’t just represent growth—it embodies it. Persistent, and defiant, it reflects a landscape that keeps pushing forward. Holding on. Growing still. رغم أنف الجميع ("In spite of it all.")

صندوق المزيكا Poster for The Music Box exhibition by @digitentworld Running from May 8 till May 18 in @cairophotoweek Inspired by its name, we created our version of a musical photographic time machine. Envisioned, hand-drawn and inked by the talented artist @mag.berry Combining different musical elements that feel like you’re stepping into the past from the future. With a nod to the nature of archiving hidden within the illustrative piece as folders of photographs. All inspired by the visual language and energy of music, photography and filmmaking from decades past. 7 years and 3 different work places later and we finally got the chance to collaborate.💛💛💛

Cinema Akil is all set to host the return of Arab Cinema Week Volume 4, presented by @fujifilmme from 2nd May to 11th May 2025 in partnership with @alserkalavenue , and communications partner @soulcommunications - a curated journey through the new wave of Arab storytelling! 🎥 We go through different genres of films, places, gazes and stories to give a collage of what our rich and diverse region looks like. The program spans 10 feature films from 10 Arab countries, with 6 of them making their Gulf premieres and 3 of them making their UAE premieres. Genres range from psychological horror to drama, comedy, and documentary, reflecting the dynamic and rapidly diversifying nature of Arab cinema. Watch out for more announcements!
