NOTES × FIDELITY - Built for long runs, slow mornings, and everything in between. This blend brings together two incredible Colombian coffees: • a washed Red Bourbon from Wilton Benitez • a Castillo honey processed peach co-ferment from Jairo Arcila On their own they’re expressive coffees. Together they become something soft, floral, and ridiculously drinkable. Reminding us of peach iced tea, stone fruit, and delicate florals with a clean, refreshing finish. A coffee designed to be shared after moving through trails, conversations, and long weekends in the mountains. We’ll be pouring it on batch brew all weekend at Fidelity, and bags will be available in-store to take home.

“I knew it. I knew it was you! Your shorts!” They went on to say, “I could tell by the way you ran.”

When you start to look at things, especially the world, You start to realise how little you actually remember.

While we’re running, we remember even less.

For the most part, it’s a blur.

We fly through landscapes,
our eyes filled with sweat, And the winds demands us squint. At best,
we remember a few colours.
A handful of silhouettes burn into the fabric of our mind, And our runs, are remembered by a few shapes.

You’ll recognise a pair of notes short by their tagging.

The rest, is a blur. Words and imagery by @joshlynott Runner @khafarrell

We think that our bodies will wait for us. We’re sure they’ll respond to every ask, and deliver without request of a favour. We wish to delay our pains to a point beyond us, One in the future, So we can quit, Rest, Or tell our story earlier. We wish it to be over. Until we create space, Between ourselves and the pain, Between the wall and our heart, Between then and now. And then we realise, We’d do anything to be out there again. Don’t wish it to be over. Coming May 15th.

In case you don’t read our emails: It’s Josh here, dropping in. It’s about to hit “11:11” on the clock. Every time I see the number 11:11, I make a wish. “Health, wealth, happiness, love, and opportunity.” Health is an obvious wish ( or manifestation). Without my health, I have nothing. Wealth, well, you can define as you want. If I have my friends around me, I can run when I choose, and eat well, That’s wealth for me. Happiness is a big player. This is why I wrote the quote: “Everyone wants to know how far I ran, but not how much fun I had.” Fun is key. Play is key. This leads to happiness. What are we doing otherwise? Love. In San Francisco on November 26, 2015 I ordered takeaway and asked the pizza delivery guy to write a poem on the box. He wrote: “What is done without love is only an illusion.” That stuck with me ever since. That’s my goal with NOTES. Love must go into everything. Even this email. Opportunity. I always want to welcome opportunity into my life. Opportunities do not arrive passively. Opportunities come through smiles, questions, care, and curiosity. I must engage with the world. Be with the world. Talk to the world. I also hope to create opportunities for others through Notes Running. This drop, we photographed Tayla, Jeremy, and Khafarrell. They’ve all supported us. Tay has purchased from a bunch of drops and lives locally in Melbourne. Khafarrell attends Speednotes. Jeremy raced a 42km trail race in our Noted Cotton Tee. We wanted to feature them in our May campaign. Support goes both ways. We just wanted to let you know, we see you. We’re supporting you in everything you do. Big Love, JL

The “Don’t Wish It To Be Over” delivery on May 15th was based off the last poem in @joshlynott book, A Note To The Runners. We spend months training for a race or event, Talking about it everyday, Building sleep schedules, Carpooling for Sunday long runs, Buying more carbs at the supermarket, Dedicating, Sacrificing, Obsessing, Numbing… Only to get to the moment, The one we wished for, Longed for… To wish it to be over. To will it away. To grit out teeth. Grimace. Days pass. Months pass. And it comes back to us. The wish. The dream. The longing. To be back out there. In the moment. In the arena. In the dance. In the darkness. In the hurt. In the crowd. The shorts on this collection are a nod to that moment.
