what did nosurf fest 2025 feel like? this.
itās hard to put into words the emotions, energy, passion, and effort that go into something so close to our hearts.
weāre a DIY festival. building community is our passion. showcasing up-and-coming indie and electronic talent is what we set out to bring you here for.
everyone on the nosurf and @hotbed.us team has had the date āaugust 23ā burned into their minds since the start of the year.
this festival took months of planning and countless late nights. every thought, every decision, every action made by a few people who really wanted to make this happen for san diego.
why?
because this is the experience weāve been searching for. and when we couldnāt find it, we decided to build it so we could share it with you, in the pit or on the dance floor, in support of ocean conservation.
endless thanks to @ryder.schwartz for capturing these moments so beautifully, and to everyone who showed up and made this day what it was.
love you š

a love note to 2025 - thank you for giving us the strength, chaos, and creativity to pull off our biggest festival yet
continuing to grow in this space is not easy
hosting 2,000+ of you for our biggest year really put us to the test
but seeing the smiles, the hugs, the chaos, and the joy as our community grows makes it the best day of the year every single time
we watched new friendships and relationships form
new love for music spark
and real excitement around the indie scene here in san diego
putting on a festival outside of la, ny, or sf is hard
doing it without real funding is even harder
every dollar from each year goes straight back into the next one so we can make it better for you, every single time
this all started as a failed surf app
somehow it turned into a platform for emerging indie artists and a growing electronic scene
proof that ideas evolve, scenes grow, and things get better when people actually care
lots of love to @hotbed.us for leveling up the electronic side of the festival this year
getting to work with your friends to build something you genuinely believe in is rare
and we do not take that lightly
this isnāt just about finally hearing the music we play in our bedrooms live
itās about building something inspired here
and we are on our way
2026 is already looking different
more events, new ideas, a new approach
thank you 2025
letās go 2026 š
@loods.jpg closed the warehouse like only he could. heavy, sweaty, and relentless.
from newcastle steel to london clubs to downtown san diego, he dropped heaters until the walls begged for mercy.
the perfect way to seal off the hotbed stage fueled by @luckyenergyofficial
the red pears closed the night the only way they could. raw, loud, and with every voice in the lot shouting it back at them.
honored to have the red pears with us headlining our main stage in san diego, they brought the heat wayyy after the sun went down.
perfect ending to a day built on sweat, sound, and a little chaos.

We⦠uh just⦠uh only uh⦠put together a music festival for thousands of people just so we could uh⦠say the best line from the timeless cinematic masterpiece of our generation (despicable me)

shaking b2b clearcast took the hotbed stage and turned it inside out.
uk bass grit smashed into deconstructed chaos, breakbeats flying, bodies moving whether they wanted to or not.
it didnāt really feel like a set, it felt like the warehouse was possessed for an hour straight.
