Now on view: Hiatus by Nuno Lorena Nosbaum Reding Projects 6 May – 13 June 2026 In Hiatus, Artist Nuno Lorena constructs a series of still life paintings that evade stillness. What initially appears composed and contained begins, on closer attention, to loosen—objects drift, edges dissolve, time stretches. These works function less as fixed arrangements than, in the artist’s words, “fragments of narrative,” suspended between recollections. The still life, historically associated with observation and studious control, is here reconfigured as a vessel for personal memory. Lorena approaches it as a way of holding onto what cannot be fully grasped: the scent of the flower in his grandma’s house, a fleeting view peeking out from their house’s window, residue of experience, and of “home” once it has been left behind. Each composition becomes autobiographical, though never explicitly so, carrying proximity to lived detail as an accumulation of signals. Now on view: Invisible by Peter Zimmermann Nosbaum Reding Luxembourg 6 May – 13 June 2026 For some thirty years, Peter Zimmermann has developed unique painting techniques that combine epoxy resin and oil paint. His abstract compositions—often serial in nature and modeled after digital prints—make him one of the leading figures in contemporary German painting. The transfer of a motif selected from his own photographic archive is achieved through a multi-layered process, in which each color is applied successively. The vibrant colors of his canvases mimic the smooth, dazzling surfaces of digital interfaces. While Zimmermann plays with the pictorial codes of Pop Art and the seductive iconography of the media, he adds the demanding austerity of abstraction. His relationship to forms is literally plastic, expanded and stretched; the luminosity of the surface thus creates a tension between the surface’s brilliance and the painting’s lack of depth. The texture of his canvases, both tactile and melting, accentuated by pictorial blur, truly immerses the viewer. @_peterzimmermann_ #nosbaumreding #peterzimmermann #exhibitions #luxembourg Exhibition views : @wlouisss

Eric Mangen: Quiberville (Mémoires de paysages), opening on Saturday 23 May at 6 p.m. On show from 23.05.2026 to 18.07.2026 Nosbaum Reding Bruxelles 60, Rue de la Concorde 1050 Bruxelles Eric Mangen (b. 1983, Luxembourg) is recognised for his dynamic and gestural approach to abstraction. His work is rooted in an unceasing curiosity and a constant drive for reinvention. His paintings unfold through a physical dialogue, where tension drives the rhythm and energy of his compositions. Mangen’s practice often bridges painting, performance, and installation, as he persistently challenges the limits of scale, surface, and technique. Guided by an ever-renewed curiosity, he embraces new materials and processes to resist the comfort of repetition. His work reveals a visual language charged with energy, strength, and a sincerity of gesture. Photo: © Eric Mangen

Solo exhibition by Damien Deroubaix The big beautifull billboard 14.03.2026 - 02.05.2026 After training in France at the École des Beaux-Arts de Saint-Etienne and in Germany at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Karlsruhe, Damien Deroubaix established himself as a painter, printmaker, draftsman, and sculptor. Since then, his pictorial language has continually mixed motifs and influences without boundaries in an artistic practice characterized by a diversity of forms and techniques: oil painting, watercolor, engraving, tapestry, woodcuts, as well as sculpture and installation. Old and modern masters, Metal and grindcore aesthetics, non-European arts, and BDSM—the plastic effervescence of Deroubaix knows no limits. A fetishist of style, he leaves his mark on the surface as one tattoos skin. In his blunt opposition to the whiteness of the canvas, Deroubaix kneads the gray and black matter of a skull or rib cage. And even if his work is born from darkness, his anatomical theater remains voracious, ready to swallow everything from the great chaos of the world—its chimeras and its exterminating angels. Recently, his exhibition En un jour si obscur was shown at the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris, where his panels, prints, engravings, and paintings dialogued with the masters of European printmaking from the library’s collections (2025), and La vida es sueño at the Musée Goya de Castres (2024). Damien Deroubaix’s work is held in major collections including the Centre Pompidou (FR), the Museum of Modern Art New York (USA), the Saarlandmuseum (DE), the Museu Colecção Berardo (PT), and the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen (CH). The artist has also exhibited internationally, notably at the Fondation Maeght (France), Bloomberg Space (United Kingdom), the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton (France), the Casino Luxembourg (Luxembourg), the Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Germany), and the MUDAM (Luxembourg), among others. In 2009, he was nominated for the Prix Marcel Duchamp. Photos: © Louis Weber @wlouisss
