The gallery presents Autonomy of the Line, a series of works on paper by David Schmitz in which the line becomes an autonomous, attentive and free agent. Conceived as direct protocols of inner movement, these drawings make perception visible before it takes form. Free of narration or illustration, they reveal an immediate visual state shaped by precise gestures and frictions. These works form the foundation of the artist’s practice, a space where intuition and reflection are directly inscribed.
