šŸ“š Book Number 65 šŸ“š Blurb šŸ“˜ Magic has awoken, and everything has changed, especially for Thea Melbourne. Grappling with who she is, what she knows, and even her powerful bond with vampire Julian Rousseaux, she enters a deadly game as she becomes something greater than he could have ever imagined. But Thea's growing power and influence haven't gone without notice... Julian would do whatever it takes to protect Thea, to keep her safe. But nine hundred years of immortality haven't prepared him for the dangers they face. The Vampire Council, the Mordicum, and even their families, have all taken up arms, one way or another. Nowhere - and no one - is safe. A new evil is rising, and with it, the deadliest threat to their future yet. One that requires more than wealth, power and love to survive... Review šŸ“– This is the last book of the series, I absolutely loved the first one. The second and third were ok but not the same as the first. But I enjoyed this one more than those 2. I thought there was more action and drama in this one that the last 2. I liked that there was more information in this and more history behind things. But sometimes it felt like there was a lot going on to remember. Some great twists. Told from various POV. This series was a nice change to my usual genre.

šŸ“š Book Number 64 šŸ“š Blurb šŸ“˜ Human suspicion. AI manipulation. Who can you trust when truth has no meaning? DCS Kat Frank returns to work at the Future Policing Unit after a tragic loss, only to find herself thrust into a new high-profile case. On the night of Halloween a local MP is found murdered, with a taunting message written in binary code that seems to target Kat specifically: Catch me if you can. The victim’s anti-AI sentiments suggest a political motive, and as Kat investigates with her partner AIDE Lock – the world’s first AI detective – she finds herself once again battling her own prejudices about the technological future he represents. But when a cyberattack takes out the National Grid, Kat and Lock have to race against the clock to track down the hacker before thousands die. Tangled in a web of suspicion and deception, Kat must choose who and what to believe when the truth seems to defy both instinct and logic. Can she set aside her old doubts and put her faith in her AI partner one last time? Or will this case send Lock down a path she just can’t follow – a path that will leave humanity behind for good? Review šŸ“– What an amazing book to end the series. I absolutely loved this, with short chapters and the tension brewing throughout. There has clearly been a lot of research put into the AI aspect of this story, and I think its very apt with todays modern world. This was a full on edge of your seat, fast paced read and I did not expect it to go the way it did. Its hard to say too much without spoilers. But I would definitely recommend this incredible series. A huge thank you to @jocallaghankat and @simonschusteruk for sending me a copy of this. Release Date - 21st May 2026

šŸ“š Book Number 63 šŸ“š Blurb šŸ“˜ Everyone knows the legend of Fairport Village: twenty-five years ago, a shocking murder closed the place down. This year, the ruins will be bulldozed at last. But tonight, it's not too late to die. All her life, Eden Stafford has heard the lore about the abandoned beach resort at the edge of town: ever since the notorious murder there, anyone who sets foot on the property is cursed to die, It's more than just a story: over the years, two high school students who dared to explore the ruins of Fairport Village were killed there. Eden is no stranger to notoriety, having endured a family scandal that's made her a target at school. So when she reluctantly attends an overnight party at the ruins, she's on edge—not because of some legend, but because the clique that has made her life hell for years is there, too, including Caleb Durham, the worst of them all. Yet out of all the things Eden expected to happen that night, finding another student dead at Fairport Village wasn't one of them. Though the death is ruled an accident, Eden knows she saw something suspicious at the ruins—and Caleb and her other longtime tormentors did too. Now they're all being followed by a deadly stranger, and to save themselves, they must work together to uncover the truth about Fairport Village. But after all that's happened, can Eden really trust Caleb and his friends? Or will they leave her to face a killer alone? Review šŸ“– I absolutely loved this one. It has such a creepy atmosphere. I loved the setting mixed wigh the eerie paranormal element. Teenage drama, short chapters, fast paced. Some good twists along the way, even if i did guess the big one at the end. It didn't take anything away from the story. It was more of a triumphant yes moment. I really enjoyed the mysterious folk lore surrounding this story. I thought that the characters were really well written, and I loved how the FMC developed as the story progressed. A fantastic read even though it is YA. This was my son's pick for this month

šŸ“š Book Number 62 šŸ“š Blurb šŸ“˜ My new home, Rose Cottage, is perfect. The landlady has just one rule: no men. What happens if I break it? It seemed perfect for me and my five-year-old daughter, Lily — a pretty little cottage on a quiet country farm. Our landlady, Mrs Skinner, greets us with a bone-crushing hug. She seems nice, motherly even. She brings homemade cakes, freshly baked bread, and cheese. Then came the rule. No male visitors. I told myself it didn’t matter. We needed somewhere safe. Anywhere was better than the women’s refuge. But soon there are red flags. Mrs Skinner’s son watches me a little too closely. My lipstick disappears. Lily wakes screaming that there’s a stranger in her room. And when I ask about the last tenant — the one who vanished, leaving all her furniture behind — Mrs Skinner just smiles, and says she only wants to protect us. Review šŸ“– This is my first book by this author. I found it to be fast paced and full of tension. Told in a dual POV, the chapters were short which are always a bonus for me. I was intrigued the whole way through on how things would work out. And although I did figure out the twists, I still enjoyed the reveal. Definitely had a creepy vibe with this story. But as Paul’s behaviour begins to spiral even more, Emma worries she may have left it far too late to save her old friend Riddick from his own destruction... Review šŸ“– I am loving this series, and even more so because its local to me. So local that my home town is in this book. It is well written and fast paced. Nice short chapters and told in different timelines, each one weaving in to each other somehow. After they way the last one ended I was intrigued how this one was going to go. I was pleased they are back working together. Can not wait to see where the next one goes

šŸ“š Book Number 60 šŸ“š Blurb šŸ“˜ Every username hides a stranger. One hides a killer Judy Harper never meant to lie. At least, not about something like this. Judy is forced to question the people she’s trusted, the secrets she’s shared, and the true purpose of the forum she thought was helping her heal. Is someone watching the widows? And is Judy next? In the Widow's Circle, the truth is the deadliest lie. Review šŸ“– The story pulls you straight into the lives of the MC's and reveals their secrets. It starts off on the slower paced side but soon the twists and cliffhangers are coming in and it ramps up in pace with tension and suspense. Told from various POV with short chapters. šŸ“š Book Number 59 šŸ“š Blurb šŸ“˜ My husband Henry is missing — and there’s a dead body in my bed. Six weeks ago, Henry wrapped his truck around a telephone pole. Now he’s laid up at home with a shattered leg. We’re drowning in debt. We might lose our home. Then our new neighbors move in. They’re charming and wealthy. They offer us small jobs around their house. Easy work. And the pay is unbelievable. Nothing comes for free though. And then I come home to find a body in my bed — and it’s not even my husband. You always have to pay your debts . . . Review šŸ“– A well thought out story, that grips you. Nice short chapters with some multi media weaved in. This is my first book by this author, and will definitely look for others. Packed full of danger and suspense, it really does make you question what you would do in that situation in the beginning. A tense read that if you suspend your disbelief its a wild ride. I did feel for the FMC, and it was hard to trust any of the characters. A huge thank you to ZoĆ© at @zooloosbooktours for having me on the tour. And also to @alex.wolfgang.moon and @joffebooks for sending me a copy of this in exchange for my honest review

šŸ“š Book Number 58 šŸ“š Blurb šŸ“˜ You’re a survivor, aren’t you, Matilda? But what’s the point in surviving when everyone around you is dead? When DCI Matilda Darke receives a mysterious telephone call, she immediately dismisses the threat. Afterall the Homicide and Major Enquiries team are a regular target for prank calls. But ignoring this warning might soon be the biggest regret of Matilda Darke’s life. A lone gunman is on a deadly rampage around Sheffield, leaving a bloody trail in his wake. Taking his shots with a sickening precision, he’s about to leave his mark on the world and change Matilda and her team’s lives forever. Review šŸ“– Wow, this was such a tense read ! I knew it was going to be a brutal one after Michael messaged me after book 5 and said wait for book 7... but bloody hell. After 5 chapters I even messaged him saying a short 3 letter abbreviation with the last word ending in F. This one was definitely brutal, and it was probably one of the only books bar one that got me right in the feels ! And that is hard to do for me. I am absolutely loving this series and I am definitely intrigued by where it goes now even though I am gutted. The amount of times I gasped and internally shouted 'Noooo' was alot. I loved the link to a previous book in the series. The beginning, the middle, the end. Full of suspense and tension. Edge of your seat read. Only one word to summerise - BRUTAL !

šŸ“š Book Number 57 šŸ“š Blurb šŸ“˜ A murdered child. A case from the past. A detective inspector with nothing to lose… DI Paul Riddick is a man tormented by his own actions and determined to right the wrongs of his past any way he can. But when his instincts lead him to follow a child he believes to be in danger, Riddick gets in deeper than he ever imagined…especially when the child is found dead. DCI Emma Gardner doesn’t believe Riddick has blood on his hands, but he’s off the case until she can clear his name. If she can clear his name. Because Riddick seems determined to chase ghosts that only get him into more trouble. Riddick's certain he didn’t kill the kid in the cave. But he also remembers another case, twenty years ago, with shocking similarities…which means someone is trying to trap Riddick. Can Riddick uncover the truth, or will this be the case that finally destroys him once and for all? Review šŸ“– This is a fast paced and tense read. As with the rest of the series. I was hooked from the very beginning. The character development is great. Full of suspense with lots of little story threads that all link together. I'm loving reading a local series. And knowing where they are talking about takes the reading expensive to the next level. It touches on some sensitive subjects, so maybe check TW.
