SAVE THE DATE = New Exhibition 💥 𝒀𝑨𝑵𝑮 𝑺𝑯𝑬𝑵𝑮 養生 𝑵𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒆 : 𝑨 𝑫𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒖𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒐𝒅𝒚 /03.-18.5.2025 / C*Space @cspaceberlin Langhansstraße 86, 13086 Berlin Berlin, Germany / Opening Saturday, 03.05.2025, 17-19pm In East Asian culture, Yang Sheng is more than just a health idea; it’s a way of living in harmony with nature. It is influenced by Daoist philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine, focusing on balancing the body and mind through following natural laws, self-care, and living a long life. Recently, this ancient wisdom has gained attention in Europe and around the world, becoming a guide for those seeking balance and well-being. As an artist and curator, Tao Hai Yue @hi.yo.to started the NORMAL NORMAL @normalnormal.berlin project in Berlin in 2021, focusing on the beauty and function of everyday objects and promoting cultural diversity in design scene. In this exhibition, they will show a variety of objects related to Yang Sheng—from traditional tools like gua sha and cupping, to everyday items used in creative ways as massage tools, and quirky objects for acupressure and beauty care. These exhibits highlight the link between self-care and an ongoing conversation with the body. Additionally, Japanese musician Amy & her quiet experiments @aqe_music_for_art will perform live, creating background music inspired by natural objects and Yang Sheng tools, which ties into the exhibition’s theme. Visitors will be able to enjoy the performance and also interact with the objects on display. This exhibition is invited by the Berlin Asia Arts Club @berlinerliterarischeaktion and is supported as part of the Art Spring @artspringberlin and C*Space @cspaceberlin Pop-up Tea House project. . . . . . . #normalnormalberlin #prenzlauerberg #berliner #homegoods #homewarestore #seekthesimplicity #simpleandstill #theartofslowliving #makesgonnamake #aconsideredhome #calminteriors #theperfectsimple #minimalistdecor #doingneutralright #craftmanship #sustainableliving #yangsheng

Ear picking, is a type of traditional ear hygiene and leisure activity common in Asia It involves the process of removing earwax using various tools. Ear picking service in China for leisure and pleasure dates back to Song dynasty. Ear-picking as a service originated in the Song dynasty as part of the leisure options offered by tea house or public bathhouse. The Chinese-style ear-picking process involves specialized tools, massages, sound, and techniques that emphasize cleaning and stress relief. Aside from ear picks, ear-picking tools include cloud knives, ear spoons, ticklers made of goose feather, tuning forks, and peacock feathers for massages. The job requires extensive training in hand accuracy and steadiness. This is a simplified home version.Because the ear is so sensitive, it’s often done between family members or partners. It’s not just about cleaning—it’s also a gentle, intimate ritual that builds closeness.
