❄️ Our forecast suggests it’s likely that our gritters will be out and about tomorrow in certain areas of Norfolk, as road surface temperatures are set to drop overnight. And with things warming up this could be one of their final grit runs this winter! (fingers crossed)🤞🏼 So, we want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to our amazing gritting team for all their hard work 👏 and celebrate the brilliant names you, the people of Norfolk, chose for our gritters– through the medium of song (yes, really)! 🎶 #NorfolkWinter #TopOfTheIcePops #RapUpWarm

@norwich.mens.shed is a place for men to connect, converse and create. For some, it's a lifeline and can be a fantastic aid for loneliness and mental health. It gives men the opportunity to meet, socialise, and join a skills sharing workshop for men of all abilities. Shed members work on their own projects, volunteer their time to undertake public commissions, and engage in community based projects. Some members also mentor fellow members and community groups. Memberships are open to any man aged 18+. If you or someone you know is interested, follow the link in our bio. #FeelConnected #HealthyAgeing

A groundbreaking ceremony has taken place to mark the start of work at a new Independent Living scheme in South Wootton. The scheme, which will be managed by Housing 21, will provide 77 new homes for people aged 55 and over. The scheme will consist of: 🏠 56 one-bedroom affordable rent apartments 🏠 21 two-bedroom affordable rent apartments Councillor Alison Thomas, cabinet member for Adult Services, said: “Norfolk County Council have a clear ambition for Norfolk – attractive housing for older people which offers peace of mind, helping people to stay independent in their local communities for longer. This development will be a great example of just that, and how by working together we can build homes for the future that recognise the importance of thriving in later life.” It is scheduled to open in early 2028. #AmbitiousforNorfolk #AdultServices #IndependentLiving #AffordableHousing
