A mutual of mine (@deserea_q ) was hosting a my hero academia meet up and I saw this material and thought it would be perfect for a Himiko Toga Yakuza au. ✨ . This character design is a combination of Himiko Toga and inspiration from the 1986 film Yakuza Ladies (original title: Gokudô no onna-tachi), and the 1973 film Female Yakuza Tale: Inquisition and Torture (Yasagure Anego Den: Sōkatsu Rinchi (やさぐれ姐御伝 総括リンチ)) ⚔️ . I tried to keep this garment as traditional as possible which also includes the construction of the yukata and obi. 🧵 .
