Cette proposition photographique est une confession visuelle. À partir du constat - intime - selon lequel le réel se transforme dès qu’il est regardé créant de fait un second niveau de réalité, Noor Datis en explore la recomposition et l’empreinte floue qu’il laisse dans la mémoire.
Couches de lumière et de couleurs, personnages à la présence fragile, situations énigmatiques, paysages chargés de mystère explorent cette zone d’instabilité où l’intime rejoint la perception collective et relie la sphère personnelle et le symbolique.

Over the past year, I’ve mainly been focused on a research project, which meant taking fewer photos than I used to. At the same time, I gave myself the space to explore freely and follow whatever brought me joy, without overthinking it.
Playing music with my friend @chv.aslan was part of this exploration, and sharing our common love for Japanese music was such a precious moment to be remembered.

Last weeks of my research, exploring ancestral tattooing practices and their contemporary transmission within Indigenous communities of Taiwan, formerly known as Formosa.
Over the past few months, I’ve been learning about tattoo traditions historically linked to headhunting cultures, and I’m now reaching the end of this first phase of documentation. This journey has taken me much further than I would’ve ever expected…
