I believe that we as humans all have an energy with emit. This work focuses on self discovery and finding that light in us waiting yet to be seen. The dark background shows the struggles and dark moments we all face at different points in our lives and how they shape and redefine us. The yellow doorway signifies that light at the end of the tunnel which we yearn to find on our journey and through constant and persistent efforts a new reawakening unlocks doors that bear lights in our lives. The use of thermal chromic colours (the red, the lightness of the blue, the yellow) shows the energies all around waiting to be tap into. In my works, I depict the use of the biological male and female symbols to depict gender roles and I call this “THE ESSENCE OF BEING”.

I created this piece last year. This one is personal and means a lot to me.
So sometimes last year I posted with a caption asking y’all on here “who was your first real life super hero?” For me…it was my dad, he was everything, my biggest motivation, my best friend, my SUPER MAN. Sadly death took you away from me when you battled Colon cancer, you were so strong till the end. It’s seven years now but it still feels like it was just yesterday. Thank you Dad for everything 🙏🏽❤️✨and keep resting and living on 🕊🕊🕊. This one is for you.
