14 female artists, past and present, old and new.
At Adegbola Gallery (@adegbola.art ), the iconic tale of 'Efuru and the Woman of the Lake' unfolds as a conversation across generations. It is one that insists, much like Efuru, that a woman’s worth exists beyond what society assigns to her.
Thoughtfully curated by Kepemi Aderemi (@kepemia ), the exhibition brings together artists from different eras, tracing a lineage that is as much about memory and remembrance as it is about becoming.
In the spirit of International Women’s Day and Women’s Month, its relevance feels especially urgent, centering women as forces, histories, and continuities rather than mere subjects,
The exhibition closes tomorrow, Saturday the 28th.

My first exhibition of 2026, Efuru and the Woman of the Lake, opened this past weekend at Adegbola Gallery (@adegbola.art ).
The exhibition is a celebration of women across generations, from foundational figures to artists shaping the present. I'm so grateful for everyone who has come out so far to experience it with us, for the incredible artists, and each and every one of my amazing colleagues, who made the exhibition possible. We're still open until the end of this month, so stop by if you haven't already!!
Here's to a year of meaningful work, thoughtful conversations, and powerful art. 🙏🏿💕
Last Friday, we unveiled The Ona and celebrated Magnum House Live Volume 2.
A night where culture, art, and community came to life.
Thank you to everyone who showed up with energy and belief.
The path continues.

Enduring Legacies: A Collector’s Tribute to Masters
A rare opportunity to experience timeless works from Master Artists.
To curate “Enduring Legacies” is to honour not only the artists themselves but also the spirit of resilience and innovation that runs through the history of Nigerian art. May this gathering of masterworks remind us of the wealth of our inheritance, and may it inspire generations to continue building on this extraordinary legacy.
We look forward to welcoming you at our exhibition!

Time to get excited about our upcoming exhibition: Ebb & Flow featuring fantastic artists, @dennisonofua and @wemaye_
Ebb and Flow is an exhibition that draws inspiration from the natural rise and fall of tides, an enduring metaphor for the rhythms of life. Through works that capture movement and transformation, through Dennis & Wema's expressive art styles, the exhibition reflects on the constant motion that defines our human experience. Just as the tide retreats and returns, so do moments of clarity and confusion, abundance and scarcity, grief and joy.
Each piece speaks to the quiet power of letting go, holding on, and allowing life to unfold in its own rhythm.
Developing a real obsession with the Shadows, depth, and how i can create multiple elements that interact seamlessly.

We All Need Some Serenity
A Look at SERENITY — an exhibition by Rotimi Akinnire & Sade Okuboyejo, curated by Kepemi Aderemi.
In a Lagos that never stops moving, where rest is a luxury and noise is the norm, SERENITY offers a rare, necessary pause. This thoughtfully curated exhibition invites viewers to breathe, reflect, and reconnect, through the tactile sensibilities of acclaimed visual artist Rotimi Akinnire and the meditative craft of trained bonsai artist Sade Okuboyejo.
Under The Art Cadre Gallery MÌLÍKÌ (@miliki.ng ), Kepemi Aderemi (@kepemia ) intelligently brings both practices together in a lush, grounding encounter …a gentle rebellion against the city’s chaos, and a calm reminder of stillness as survival and sustenance.
