Master Non Linear Narrative Graduation Projects: A Recap With the busy Graduation Show period fast approaching, we are taking a minute to look back at last year’s exhibition by highlighting thought-provoking and inspiring projects from each department. Non Linear Narrative @nonlinearnarrative is a two year master's programme that redraws the parameters of graphic design. Combining experimental algorithmic processes with a strong basis in journalistic and forensic practice, the programme fosters students who innovate in non-traditional forms of storytelling, and engage with the social responsibilities of the graphic design field. Read the full article about the projects via link in bio! 1. Decaying Data by Rodrigo Cardosa @rodrigo.cardoso37 2. Soft Sabotage by Julia Löffler @julia.loeff 3. AnAmphibious Retreat by Stefano Dealessandri @stefanodealessandri Images by Charlotte Brand Feeling Inspired? Come and explore the work of this year's Master Non Linear Narrative graduates (and many more!) at the KABK degree show 2026.

Our second year students are running a fundraiser for their graduation show - The Tales Wagging the Dog - please help out if you can ❤️ Link in bio to learn more and donate in exchange for a reward of your choice ❤️ 𝕺𝖓𝖈𝖊 𝖚𝖕𝖔𝖓 𝖆 𝖙𝖎𝖒𝖊... there were 10 students of the Non-Linear Narrative Master at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. They came together from across the land, from different professions and practices to tell stories, challenge dominant narratives and explore counter histories. Searching far and wide through extractive environments, digital landscapes, cultural geographies, and political stages, they uncovered enchanting, otherworldly, and sometimes uncanny stories they cant wait to share with you. These stories will come alive in their graduation-show: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝑾𝒂𝒈𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒐𝒈. Through audio-visual installations, prints, textiles, workshops, performances, and… cookies, these 10 adventurers will question the dominant narrative, shaking up, snooping around, and poking at known and unknown stories: Stories about military neutrality, dopamine, colonialism, memory, polarization, marble, embroidery, truth-making, oil, and offshore infrastructure. Unfortunately, the treasure chest of the 10 story-tellers lies bare. So we are asking you to support us with a few golden coins in our quest to call in the masses, build the stages, fire up the printing presses, and provide ink for the scribes. In other words we need donations to print, paint, produce, and promote this graduation exhibition. All benefactors who so graciously help us fill our empty coffers will receive a token of our appreciation along with our eternal gratitude. Come be part of our story from 2nd-7th July 2026 at the Royal Academy of the Art, The Hague. A big thank you to everyone who joined us last week for the symposium ‘Tempers and Temperatures: The Rising Heat of Digital Ecologies’. It was an inspiring and thought-provoking day dedicated to exploring climate change disinformation and its impact on democracy and public trust. We are especially grateful to our speakers Gabriele Colombo, Mijke van der Drift, Sophie Dyer, Joey Grostern, Jennie King, Sabine Niederer, and Sorab Roustayar for sharing their expertise, insights, and critical perspectives. Their contributions sparked meaningful discussions about how misinformation shapes public debate, influences policy, and affects the way societies respond to climate challenges. The first session explored how climate narratives are shaped by power, ethics, and disinformation, while the second session focused on how climate data enters the public domain through journalism, media, and artificial intelligence. The final session examined how to foster resilience and cultivate shared imaginaries for climate action. We value the participation of everyone who joined the discussions, asked questions, and contributed throughout the day. A heartfelt thank you also to the Erasmus+ partners from Barcelona, London, Reykjavík, Sarajevo, Tallinn and Vilnius, and to all our brilliant NLN students, whose dedication made this event possible. 🔥 THREE WEEKS LEFT TO APPLY! 🧡 Are you interested in joining the MA Non Linear Narrative from September 2026? Make sure to submit your application by 2nd March to be reviewed as a priority! Non Linear Narrative is a two-year master’s programme that merges investigative methods of journalism and forensics with processing technologies of computer science and visual arts into a contemporary progressive design approach: non-linear storytelling. It takes the entanglement of relations in the global information society as a starting point, in order to identify and interrogate complex socio-political issues and communicate them to a broad audience. The programme repositions the graphic design discipline in the changing professional landscape and extends it with new responsibilities towards society. You can find more info about what you need to do to apply via our website (link in bio). Please contact us by email if you have any questions!
