Unemployment in South Africa remains a major challenge ,with 31.4% of the labour force without work and millions still searching for opportunity.
You might not be able to employ someone but you might have access to information that can open a door.

And sometimes, that’s all someone needs.
There is something so profoundly moving about being supported, not just in words, but in physical presence.
For four years, I was carried by love, encouragement, and people who truly showed up for me. And on one of the most important days of my life, that love showed up again.

A powerful new chapter for literacy in South Africa 📚
The first Beyond Words library has opened at Masivuke Primary School in Philippi, Cape Town — a partnership between the @cottononfoundation , @nomzamo_lighthouse and @thebookerycpt
With 81% of Grade 4 learners in South Africa unable to read for meaning, this initiative is about changing that — bringing books, learning spaces and reading support to schools that need it most.
Joined by @nomzamo_m , Minister of Education @davidmaynier and @officialceehl , the opening marks the beginning of a movement to unlock the power of reading for more learners across the country.
