Peace is available in the here and now,
While we're running toward a future
that doesn't exist yet
This book doesn't teach, it reminds us
A lovely conversation
In the Yawanawá village,
this isn't just a philosophy;
it’s the way of life
When you walk through the forest
or sit in a long ceremony,
there is nowhere else to be
The jungle demands total presence
It reminds us that every step
on the green jungle or the polluted cities
is a chance to arrive home to ourselves
If we can't find peace in our breath today
A retreat tomorrow can help us remember
As the retreat is a place where we practice
coming back
to what’s already inside us
Yet, we must carry it alive after
Bridging these worlds: the wisdom of the breath and the medicine of the forest!!!

📖 El niño que se enfado con la muerte
📝 Enric Benito
Calm down, "the dead is well organized"
nothing to fear there
And community, our loved ones,
are the ppl who hold the space when the moment arrives
I cried a bit, smile, and felt holded by Benito ways to share his life experiences
And hope, we all become a Benito in each other's lives!

What if parts of you
Are the porcupines you want to hug?
Thst was my thougts while reading
📝 How to hug a porcupine by Dr. Debbie Joffe
And of course I thought about others too...
If you have someone who
For a moment or a minute too long
is 20% sweetheart
and 80% leave me alone
Inclusive if that is the reflection on the mirror
this book is the guide you didn't know you needed
It's an easy and fun book to remember
that there are ways
There are always ways!
Maybe in this case...
Do not hold on tight 🤭🤗

Theory meets practice
The intellectual concepts
We read about in books like this one
are actually lived,
ancient realities in the Yawanawá territory
In the village,
when someone is in a deep "dieta" or ceremony,
the community doesn't just watch
they sustain!
They hold the space, they cook, they sing, and they guard the silence.
This is exactly what Ross Gay means by JOY being a "rigorous" communal practice
Joy is not a solo achievement
Joy is a group effort
Gay wrote that joy isn't the absence of sorrow, but what happens when we go through it together
It is a practice of care, a "labor" of being present for one another
I see this so clearly in the Yawanawá villages
During a ceremony
joy isn't just the peak of the music
it’s the way the all community holds the person who is struggling
It’s the shared silence,
the communal food,
and the Kené (patterns) that weave us all into one protection
When we "loiter" in ceremony together,
we aren't just seeking a personal breakthrough
We are practicing the collective survival Gay writes about
We are inciting a joy that can only exist because we refuse to let each other carry the weight alone
I’m so grateful to be a bridge between these worlds
the wisdom of books and the AI, ancestral intelligence
Do you remember what does it feel like to be held by a community like that?

Enlightenment is learning to walk with open eyes through the ordinary
I felt deeply seen while reading After the Ecstasy, the Laundry
I love his books, and this on is an anchor
for those who’ve touched something sacred
in ceremony, in retreat, in silence... and are now learning to live that truth on daily life.
3 things that stayed with me:
- Awakening doesn’t make us perfect; it makes us more human.
- Integration is the true practice, bringing the sacred into how we love, eat, listen, rest, and so on
- The path continues in the laundry, the dishes, the conversations that test our patience!!!
It’s the perfect companion after retreats
soft, wise, light, and real
Have you ever read a book that felt like a mirror of your integration journey?

It started as a coping mechanism
Reading become part of my daily routine
And each time I see it I'll remember
We, humans, are capable of way more than "be normal"
