last year i was blessed with the opportunity to be the assistant director of this beautiful film by @kemkemlij called Feedback, got to work and learn with the coolest team and reconnect with music, dance, reclamation, freedom, memory, legacy, the Black Atlantic, ancestral feedback enta anoda feedback.
getting to shoot at the point of no return, badagry beach was a very spiritual and political moment i return to every now and then to challenge my purpose as an artist, this film is no joke, it’s important and i’m grateful for it.
the film is now on show at @spikeisland in bristol and here are some images from the bts, the installation space and the film itself.

The Brazilian Quarter
On Easter Monday we held our ‘Brazilian Quarter' celebration complementing Fanti Carnival. The festivities started with a relaxed brunch for the hyperlocal community on Boyle Street, and slowly morphed into a full-blown party as the sound-system clicked into gear.
Big thanks to @2stepjenkins & the @quacktails.ng team for tasteful drinks at the ògógória station, Funmi & Esther for the delicious àkàrà special, @Spydee on sound, @ohh_gasspar & @fidelis080980 for the ‘remote control’ mixes, @nollyw00davantgarde for stepping up last minute with an epic live set, @versaphile for the visualisers and preparatory support, and of course to everybody who came and danced.
Our physical quarterly - Brazilian Quarter - made to commemorate the occasion is available for reference at The Pan-African Research Centre (The PARC) from Thursday – Sunday weekly.
And prints by Kelechi @thefacadenigeria are still available to buy exclusively at Padà.
