Impossible by Maria Martins sold for $2.5 million at auction this morning. A masterpiece missing from the world since the 1940s. The other two iterations sit in the MoMA and the MALBA - proof this one existed, but nobody knew where it had gone until it resurfaced this year. Getting to help tell the story of a work like this feels pretty surreal. Very grateful to the team at Rago/Wright and Francis for the trust. I made a zine! ‘Pretty Pictures’ is photos taken on my phone in 2024. I’m selling a very limited amount, $20 including shipping (5$ extra for international). Layout by @matildawb Illustration by @jm.cobb Jimmy painted an unreal piece based on one of the spreads it’s a 14x14’’ and we’re going to raffle it off with the zine. Buying a zine gets you a raffle ticket OR 5$ for a raffle ticket. First person randomly selected gets the painting and a zine, second and third person get a zine. Drawing is in a week!
