You may have seen pictures of Saturday's events in Leeds by now (@leftbrainuk and @racheloleary_ doing amazing photography) - rest assured fascism is the rot that will break us apart, it's a rot that runs deep deep deep. Have been reflecting a lot alone and with others over recent days. The enormous, loud and overriding takeaway is that we need so many more people out fighting this. Now's the time.

Felt inspired to post this after reading Lena Oleandersons poem "we have enough dead friends" yesterday, very beautiful piece and has echoes of how I felt writing this. Times are really fucking tough for people right now, the world seems to be on fire, but the best tonic for that? Collaboration, community building, organising against fascism and violence. Let's inconvenience ourselves for our friends, show up even if we're a bit tired, pop over, knock on the door, give that fiver away, feed our neighbours, feed our friends, hold their hand, go to the appointment with them, fight for the people we don't like.
Free Palestine, liberate Iran, justice for Congo and Yemen and Sudan, fight the fascists currently mobilising on Britain's streets.

Last night was beyond words, such beautiful energy and such gorgeous people! @lisaminervaluxx was ethereal, poems that remind you how it feels to be alive and connected to everything around you, the power of liberation, community.
And @aflo.thepoet , community maker, status quo shaker (upper) and gorgeous human being thank you for celebrating queerness and opening up space for people to come and bare their souls on stage. You are an absolute pillar of the community, where would we be without you!!
