@nn.onset just presented her new thought-provoking installation “A Manual for Dying”, developed during her time at Hey Human! In this work she explores the marketplace as a space in which daily conversations and interactions show the deeper existential fears that unite us as people.
Reflecting on the concept behind the piece she told us:
“The market was the space of information exchange long before the internet. The fish market itself is captivating: it presents a pile of fish, laid out on a blanket of ice to preserve them in their deathly bloom. Is this the stage that speaks without speaking?
The fish market is seen here as a model for approaching death, inspiring us to reflect on what we inevitably move closer to every day, though it is difficult to accept.”
Costume Design for the Theater Play: “JEDE STADT BRAUCHT IHREN HELDEN”.
The new Spinnbau - Ostflügel of the @theaterchemnitz opened with the premiere of "Every city needs its Hero", a play with many contrasting layers that manages to oscillate between the fun of comics involving close reality: alienation and trauma.
It was an amazing opportunity to push the spatial boundaries and adapt them to be inhabited. Each costume is a specific architecture of the character being played.
