New Mexico was honored to host great business leaders from across the U.S. attending the Energy Technology and Environmental Business Association (ETEBA) meetings at beautiful Buffalo Thunder last week. ETEBA brings together so much expertise in support of upcoming federal opportunities and projects across our whole region, strengthening the economy of our state and our nation. #nmleg

Last Wednesday at SF Climate Week, Bruce Brown, SIC Head of Strategic Climate Initiatives, and Rob Black, Secretary of the New Mexico Economic Development Department, teamed up for a live recording of MCJ’s Inevitable Podcast. The discussion, led by Cody Simms, Managing Partner at MCJ, offered a compelling look at what’s taking shape in New Mexico — driven by strategic investment and a focus on sectors where the state is positioned to lead. That includes advanced energy, a theme that resonated strongly with many in the room. Stay tuned: a full video and podcast episode from the event will be available in the coming weeks!

🚨🚨UPDATE🚨🚨 I’ve been asked a lot recently about where we stand in our expansion. Here’s an update in the video & a quick backstory. IN 2024 TD’s was awarded from the Sate of New Mexico Local Economic Development Act $150,000 in reimbursement incentives to bring Manufacturing, Warehousing, & Distribution Jobs to help stimulate our local economy. AWARDED means I applied & I was approved due to the heavy fact that I was already doing all of these things for my brand & close to a half dozen other clients I have been working with. We needed a location INSIDE the City of Lovington (LEDA requirements). We found an abandoned property that had been donated to the City of Lovington, & was up for auction. After a few months with the City Commission we hammered out a deal that works for TD’s, the state of NM, & the City of Lovington. We were awarded the bid of $25,000 for the property at 2320 S Main in Lovington NM, & the City of Lovington awarded a grant of $20k at the end of my LEDA contract. Total Reimbursement funds $170,000 over 5 years. . As we began to prep for demolition the building was filled with asbestos & would cost $30k to tear it down. The asbestos & sliders were removed & that’s where we get to step in & the site was prepped for raising the foundation to be ABOVE flood zone. The Footing has been dug & the plumbing will be starting this coming week, followed by the concrete & the. The metal. So keep an eye out for TD’s. #bbq #expanding #smallbusiness #franchise

Great News Heading Into Summer Trail Season! 🗞️🏔️☀️🥾 This year’s Trails+ Grant cycle is the biggest in New Mexico history, as the state continues to lead the nation for a total $10.8 million invested in trails and outdoor infrastructure. Again Taos is punching above its weight with $331,341 awarded this cycle of nearly $6 million awarded statewide! We’re thrilled to celebrate these investments being brought home to Taos County by our friends @enchantedcircletrails ($262,342) and @taoslandtrust ($68,999) These grants fund real on-the-ground work: trail restoration, safer access points, bridges, signage, campgrounds, and infrastructure that expand outdoor access. ECTA strengthens trail systems across the Enchanted Circle and Carson National Forest around Taos Ski Valley, while Taos Land Trust supports public access improvements that complement conservation. Why this matters: • Since 2020, New Mexico has awarded $39.8 million across 282 Trails+ projects in 29 counties • Outdoor recreation contributes $3.6 billion annually to New Mexico’s economy • The industry supports 31,000+ jobs statewide • Last year, ECTA improved 6 campgrounds and 18+ miles of trails in Carson National Forest through prior funding Earth Day is April 22 🌎🌿 so now’s the time to get outside and enjoy Mother Nature while giving a little back! TOMORROW: Rio Fernando Cleanup with ECTA + @amigosbravos 📍Taos County Clerk Parking Lot, 105 Albright St. 9am–12pm April 17: Stories from the Land📍Hacienda Martinez Food provided + cash bar by Rolling Still Distillery (space limited) 5:30–7:30pm Spring Hiking: Side canyon trials Manzanita, Yerba, Italianos, and Gavilan are in prime condition —lower elevation, mostly snow-free, perfect for early-season exploring! Start with our updated Taos Ski Valley Hiking Guide 🔗 in Bio & Story! #taos #taosskivalley #happytrails #taoslandtrust #enchantedcircletrails
