Thursday, May 28 is Community Night at the North Little Rock Public Library System, and we have TWO amazing events happening across our branches, all centered around this month's theme: Mental Health Wellness! 💚🧡
First up at Argenta Library (4PM), kids are invited to Spa Night for Kids! Wash away the school year stress with calming music, dim lighting, aromatic scents, kid-friendly facials, manicure stations, and a relaxation station. It is the perfect way to unwind, laugh, and feel refreshed. No registration required, fun while supplies last!
Then head over to Laman Library Plaza (4:30–6:00 PM) for our Mental Health Wellness Community Night! Celebrate May as Mental Health Awareness Month with outdoor fun and artistic expression as self care. Visit stations for poetry, illustration, and marbled paper creation, walk a meditation path, and explore the Crystal Bridges Mobile Art Lab. All ages welcome! (Program moves indoors if it rains.)

What a flock! Around 20 nature lovers joined us Tuesday night for Birding with Audubon: Spring Migration at the @lr_auduboncenter — and several guests walked away with brand new NLRPLS library cards. The birds showed up. So did the community.

Congratulations to Lisa, who defeated the dungeon and claimed first place at the Adult Spelling Bee: Dungeon Crawler Edition at @flywaybrewing . The winning word? Yggdrasil. Princess Donut would be proud.
@paperheartsbooks was on hand selling copies of the new Dungeon Crawler Carl book and other fantasy favorites, and the crowd was everything. One of our regulars said it best: "I love that I live in a community where a bunch of fun adults want to hang out on a weeknight to spell words and drink beer."
