AFTER MOVIE 2025
As if it really happened…
Life seems pretty surreal after this weekend gone. Words don’t come, just moves, feels and smiles. Getting flashbacks feels like being electrocuted. Keep hearing comments: ‘how has this been the first ever year?’
I ask myself the same thing but the answer is in all of you. The people, the dancers that made Dancing Body 2025. It’s hard to explain but we NEEDED it. The initiation has happened and now we build from here. We, the show, GOES ON.
They say the success of anything lies in the ‘why’ behind of it. Our why lies in the connection we experience between each other while we feel ourselves through dance. The why we dance comes close to why we exist. So simple yet the most profound why I’ve ever gotten to know. And will keep getting to know.
2026 we are coming for you.
The thank yous go to ALL of the dancing bodies that danced this year. Special thanks go to our teachers and the team behind the makings. The farm and the chefs and Doña bar fairies. Please see mentions in the comments / tagged in the post.
A bow down to @bendornanwilson our videographer of the weekend. You are beyond. And our photographer @ginnypa - nothing without you x

BIGGEST LOVE,
Dunja & Team DB 🌀🌀🌀🌀
There was too much in my body to try and write down.
So I took it to the park to see if aimless dancing could help move my overwhelm.
Just followed the beat and promised not to stop moving for 7min of Glen S - Vibrational - song.
Revolutionary.
Here’s what happens when you aimlessly dance to your favorite rhythmic tune:
↓ Stress hormones drop. Cortisol decreases during and after rhythmic movement - your body literally registers that the threat has passed.
↑ Feel-good chemicals flood in. Dancing triggers dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins simultaneously - a combination that’s hard to replicate with most other activities.
🎵 The rhythm specifically matters. Syncing to a beat activates the brain’s reward centres in a way that unstructured movement doesn’t. Your nervous system loves predictable pattern.
🫁 Vagal tone improves. Rhythmic movement stimulates the vagus nerve, shifting you from sympathetic (fight/flight) toward parasympathetic (rest/digest). This is the actual mechanism behind feeling “reset.”
Our body already knows how to regulate. Talking it out or writing it down won’t always shift the feeling. Sometimes we just need a beat to shake it out to.
Birthday on #35mm when I was truly the happiest and luckiest nugget ♥️🌹♥️ 30 feels very appropriate and inspiring, definitely a bit scary and demanding but I like it. I can’t call myself a child anymore but I sure can act like one when I want to ! 🤪 oh and Moss actually has green eyes lol
