You are cordially invited to the opening of the exhibition and summer season at Bechyně Castle on FRIDAY, May 29, 2026, at 5 p.m.
This year’s edition of the Contemporary Art and Sculpture Park continues its collaboration with Konrad Fischer Galerie Düsseldorf, presenting internationally acclaimed artists in dialogue with the historic spaces of Bechyně Castle. We are also pleased of a first-time collaboration with Prague-based Etcetera Art Prague, introducing four significant Czech artistic positions.
The programme includes two site-specific immersive sound installations by Dutch artist Roland Kuit, as well as the first-ever artistic interventions within the historic castle halls by Swiss artist Nives Widauer.
The evening will be accompanied by music by DJ Paul, guided tours
with the artists, and a bar.

To mark the 200th anniversary of J. & L. Lobmeyr @lobmeyr , Nives Widauer @niveswidauer was commissioned to create a collection of seven festive vessels, featuring intricate and masterfully executed classical copperplate engraving.
The Swiss artist plays with classical heraldic motifs and transforms them
– something one only notices at second glance – into ornamentation that draws on the forms of the human body. As a basis, she has designed seven lidded goblets in various sizes and shapes – archaic, festive drinking vessels imbued with symbolic power.
