Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this beautiful Black showgirl has made waves throughout the burlesque scene! Nirvana served on our installation production team and as an artist liaison for @everybodywantstobeashowgirl exhibit. Her work was also displayed in our digital garden of next generation superstars.
She is the first burlesquer to win the title of Black Girl Magic Philadelphia and has been featured at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Movers, Shakers, and Innovators Showcase with her duo group @crushburlesque .
As a nail designer her work has been featured on @rupaulsdragrace and gone viral on social media. In addition to her art captivating audiences online, Nirvana is a producer for nightlife competition @snatcherella3000 . Her talents extend beyond the stage so tap into this artist extraordinaire and learn about #blackburlesque history!

collage on paper and canvas In 2020, not only did I start my love for burlesque, I chose to leave my artistic mark through collage. I’m being reminded to create even when times are hard. With the unfortunate rise of AI art, I think it’s important to share art made with Black human hands and perspective! Every image was physically sourced by flipping through magazine pages, cutting and piecing them together into these sickening Afrofuturistic puzzles. Fun fact: I went to school for graphic design and dropped out because I hated making art on the computer lol. Still true 😘🌹
