spring has always been my favorite time of the year.🌿
Here is to my 30s!!!! A new decade is starting and I am EXCITED about it. :)
Here are some pictures from the last month of my twenties.
I have been a little terrified of the idea of turning 30 for the past few years tbh. It was the vague, foggy narrative of „physically it’s going downhill from here on“ that society is telling us (especially as I am working in dance and my income depends on it).
But in reality, my body is actually the strongest it has ever been. My work and relationships, everything has been gravitating towards a deeper sense of fulfillment and authenticity over the last decade and I am so looking forward to continuing to witness this trend in the next one. 🥰
On that note: I am going to celebrate it now!!! And I am beyond thankful for my healthy body, my absolutely beautiful, dearest circle of friends and family, for my versatile, demanding, fulfilling work and life. 🌀✨

training vibes, flower moon, spring blossoms, time with friends, time with family, time in nature, sitting in silence. 🌿
the past weeks i have been doing a lot of background work: prepared new dance workshop concepts for this summer, got new acting headshots & showreel, did my taxes (hallelujah), a ton of e-castings and worked on @tanz.hannover things.
now getting ready for a new theatre production at Theater Paderborn, starting next week. so looking forward!
in my relationship with myself, this spring has also been very insightful. inner confrontations that encourage me to let go of things that once served me but no longer do: thoughts, self-concepts... everlearning. evergrowing.

this was monday training 🤸♀️ i started to try some new things this week like the headspin and flare to headspin (enjoy day 1 of my headspin journey hopefully with a progress update in a couple of months lol). and i am starting to feel some more flow with my flare, can't wait to finally get it completely off the floor! love the journey 💫

Inspired by a recent conversation I went through my hard drives to find these drawings of mine. These are many years old. As a teenager I would sit in my room for weekends on end and draw and paint for more than 10 hours per day nonstop. Capturing the details, eyes, nature .. brought me to different places.. Strangely this was always my counter balance to my outlet in dance, which was more perfection-driven for me during my teenage years. When I was drawing it was just for me in that moment, nowhere to go from there, nothing to want from it. In retrospect I am realising now the more I discovered freedom and maturity in my body and movement, the less I have been drawing and instead shifted towards painting when I wasn't dancing, with textures, more abstract, more free - and it developed as a way of capturing my experience more holistically. I shared one of them on here a while ago. Now it has been a while that I haven't really done any drawings, I might grab some pencils soon again..
