IFSC World Cup Boulder Qualifications Women- Innsbruck June 23' Ain't no IFSC Climbing World Cup in Innsbruck without an explosive Boulder Competition. 💯 I was very happy to capture not only the Speed competition and Lead Para Climbing, but check all three disciplines by shooting also the Women Boulder Qualification and Semi Finals. Like this no day at the venue is the same and I keep refining tactics and angles for all kinds of competition. Qualifications are always more relaxed, no worrying about live stream cameras, plenty of tries to get a shot, but at the same time also an insane amount of athletes you have to keep track of to not miss your favourite or members of the Austrian team. Good that I covered the Qualis together with @moritz.klee , who had already been part of the team and great company at the Trailrunning World Champs the week prior. Really enjoyed being close to the action, exploring how to best capture the moves, figure out where the athletes most likely turn their faces to at the top, shoot some portraits, chatting with other photographers, then checking results, editing and preparing for the Semis the next day. Ready to race - Skimo Team Germany 2024 🇩🇪 As the first Skimo World Cup of the season starts this weekend in France, it's time to reveal more pictures from the season's kickoff with the @skimoteamgermany . In addition to the casual portraits, each year I take pictures of all the athletes wearing their racing suits and showing off their gear. ✨ For simplicity's sake I had 'only' used one continuous light the past years. Stepping it up a notch this time, I brought a couple of studio flashes, trying to make the lighting setup more elaborate and the look more dramatic. 2023 WMTRC Innsbruck Stubai - Highlights - June '23 June was a highly anticipated month for me with the World Mountain- & Trailrunning Championships coming to Innsbruck and the Stubai Valley. I was highly excited when @roast.media invited me to join the team as a photographer and be part of the event. 💯 These are some more highlight shots in vertical format, which I wanted to share before moving on to the next event. Overall it was four fantastic days of racing, running, taking pictures, editing on the go or late in the press office, drinking coffee with colleagues and repeating the next day. And it was just the beginning of a long streak of shooting days... Back to familiar faces 🚴‍♀️🤝 - 1. Tiroler Mobilitätskonferenz In October, I had the pleasure of photographing the 1st Tyrolean Mobility Conference in Innsbruck — organized by @klimabuendnis.tirol . The event brought together representatives from municipalities all across Tyrol, engaged citizens, and mobility experts — all with a shared goal: promoting active and sustainable mobility, from walking and cycling to public transport. Highlights included a keynote by @elisabethmeze , welcoming words by @philip_wohlgemuth , Tyrol’s Deputy Governor, and focused breakout sessions discussing best-practice examples and local solutions. The day wrapped up with the Tirol Radel award ceremony, moderated by @markuskoschuh . It was a truly inspiring day at the Tyrolean Government Building — full of open conversations, new ideas, and a great spirit of collaboration. New sport, new team, same excitement 🛷🇦🇹 - ÖBSV Kick-off 2025 In early October, I had the chance to cover the season kick-off of the Austrian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (ÖBSV) @bobskeleton_at — right above Innsbruck at the Seegrube mountain station of the Nordkette cable car. With a breathtaking view over the city and perfect autumn weather, I photographed portraits of the athletes with a quick improvised setup and documented the event — from press statements and sponsor photos to the highlight of the day: the unveiling of the Olympic bobsleigh. It was a great group of passionate athletes and staff, all truly dedicated to their sport and making my job incredibly easy through their help, patience, and enthusiasm in front of the camera. Big thanks to Daniel Winkler for the smooth organization and for keeping track of every shot that was needed. A new sport, a new experience — and I’m really glad I got to meet everyone. A golden autumn day on the move 🚴‍♀️🍎🍋 - EMW 2025 In late September, I had the chance to document several events across Tyrol as part of the European Mobility Week, @mobilitaetswoche . Together with Andrä Stigger, Managing Director of @klimabuendnis.tirol , and @zumtobelrene , Tyrol’s Regional Councillor for Transport and Environmental Protection, I joined a day full of inspiring initiatives promoting sustainable mobility. We started early in golden morning light, joining parents and students on a bike parade to their primary school — advocating for more bicycle-friendly city planning in the neighborhood. Later, a class teamed up with the local police to measure car speeds, rewarding careful drivers with apples and giving out lemons to those going too fast 🍏🍋. In the afternoon, we headed to the Mobility Festival in Oetz, where various local projects and initiatives showcased how engaged citizens are shaping the future of transport in Tyrol. It was a relaxed and insightful day with great company, meaningful conversations, and the rewarding feeling of capturing events that support a cause close to my heart — climate action.
