Still not enough words to discribe this project, the people involved and yesterdays opening. I’m so so so grateful for this project about mental health, talking about our deepest fears, opening up and sharing. Will share more about it, but for now some pictures of the opening and while installing @vangoghmuseum (I think this opening, this day, was one of the most beautiful moments in my career). An Honest Moment with Vincent is a project developed by young adults in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum and sound artist Elise ’t Hart. Over the past year, personal stories have been gathered in various locations, focussing on four themes: performance pressure, finical stress, loneliness and fear for the future. Issues that not only preoccupied Van Gogh, but continue to resonate with many people today. Using these recorded messages, Elise ’t Hart has created a remarkable soundscape in which stories, sounds and images from Van Gogh paintings come together. Move through space, pause by the screens and listen to the honest moments of others. Image and audio come together to reflect who we are as human beings, with all our experiences, expectations and uncertainties.

Shows, schrijven, schrijven, schrijven, schrijven en weer shows. En tussendoor natuurlijk ook proberen om andere muziek te horen, vrienden en familie te knuffelen, en op te laden.
Het spelen deed ik dit jaar met zoveel fijne mensen om me heen. Met Vrijplaats mocht ik het podium delen met bijzondere artiesten en dat had ik voor geen goud willen missen. Zo goed om die reis na drie jaar hier, in 2025, af te ronden.
Het schrijven ging met veel zoeken en graven. Kleine stapjes vooruit, soms weer even achteruit. En dan soms ineens verschijnen er langzaam nieuwe dingen🌷
Ik heb veel zin om komend jaar verder te gaan zoeken, bouwen en nieuwe muziek te maken. En hopelijk kan ik dan snel weer voor jullie zingen ❤️
