It is gently with humility and gratitude, I accept
being part of the Writing Staff
and surrender to the flow of words that I used to think was me writing my own death sentence;
Is what helps me attain the right to life
Helps to inspire within myself and others
A right to thrive.

This past week “Flip Turn” won Best Sports Film Award at the “French International Modern Film Festival”
One of my many past lives was as a competitive swimmer through my youth and in high school. Those are ribbons I don’t talk about. But I am proud that this indie won an award of its own. Some may say this was a “small part”, Stanislavsky says— “there are no small parts, only small actors” and this little fetus swimmer small Nikole gave me a lot to start with. Trust me. I was most definitely-starting haaaa.

Exploitation happens, at all levels, regardless or gender— at the same token, camaraderie in each other is needed in keeping spaces safe. Protecting the vulnerable, the impressionable, and simply longing for simple days of sweet freedom amongst the “(zebra) herd” of your people whose love protects you, and celebrates you. My second published poem.

Friends, Romans, Countrywomen.
When I made this shortfilm 2 years ago, with these lovely women, I was in such a different place in my life, it’s always so weird to watch this and know where that young woman was at and the woman I am now. I normally post videos on the grid because these are all random pieces of art that inspire me, well these women in this clip are art, even the one behind the camera.
If ya’ll can catch Chicks on the Alter Channel on YouTube we are at 113K views and even if some of those are myself and these wonderful women responding to the comment section heheh, it feels good to know we made something we are proud of and has resonated with a population that can rival the size of a small city.
Love these women and all the creatives I have the pleasure of creating art we are passionate about.
