Most brands pick colors because they look good together.
Strategic brands pick colors because they *work.*
There’s a difference. And it shows up in your conversions, your content, and how people feel the moment they land on your page.
This spring, I took my Hue Hunt practice to Hawaiʻi 🌺 and turned neighborhood walks, beach moments, and plumeria blooms into a masterclass in color strategy.
Here’s the framework I use (and teach):
→ Find a color in the wild
→ Ask: What emotion does this trigger? What action will it drive? How does this make people feel about a brand?
→ Name it with that emotion
→ Build a palette with intention
The difference between pretty palettes and color that converts?
**Strategy.**
This is exactly what I do with growing businesses AND established brands who are sitting on untapped color equity—colors they already own, but haven’t been using with intention.
If your brand has colors but no strategy behind them, that’s where I come in.
I use @adobeexpress to extract, analyze, and build out these palettes—and it made the entire process seamless because I can do this on my phone.
Try it for your own hue hunt at adobe.com/express and share with me what you found in the comments.

When you’re always driving forward, you miss what’s right beneath your feet.
Sometimes it takes stepping back to see the full picture.
The tiny planet view reminds me of what I always tell my clients: zoom out. Your brand’s colors and story look completely different when you stop grinding and actually look at the whole landscape.
The clues are already there—in the colors, the story, the positioning. You just have to pause long enough to notice them.

I started my career in print design, and one of the biggest challenges was verifying a concept without spending a lot of money on print testing.
Even if you made the mockup yourself, you would spend a few hours making it.
With @adobefirefly Firefly, I was able to create a mockup for a new packaging color within minutes!
I added my brand assets from logo, colors, patterns and images into an artboard. Then, I selected the artboard as the image reference, added my prompt, and in a few minutes I was able to test out different ideas and concepts.
Now, anytime you have a potential print idea, you can test it out to make an incredibly realistic solution and share it with your client or even your printer.

In a world of curated feeds, don't let your brand's personality hide. The most memorable brands aren't the most polished. Be brave enough to look ridiculous, because sometimes we all need a little laugh. 😄👃

Turning 43 is a chromatic evolution.
For years, I secretly lived in a kind of gray—the kind that seeps into you slowly when you grow up in the shadow of someone who needed to dim your light to feel powerful. You don’t always have a name for it when you’re in it. You just know something feels heavy. Something feels off.
But flowers don’t ask permission to bloom.
And sometimes God sends you the gems of people who bring the light, the laughter, and the kind of support that changes everything.
43 became my chromatic evolution.
Just as I grew from darkness into light, so has everything I’ve built.
My company has grown. Our mission has deepened. And we are stepping into something that has me so excited—teaching brands and people how to use color beyond pretty palettes with strategy at the core.
Because color is power.
And we’re just getting started.
Here’s to 43.
Here’s to the color.
Here’s to empowering with no fear

Creative Campaigns and AI—can they mix?
After a lot of research and plenty of trial and error, we believe the answer is yes!
But not all AI tools are created equal—and the most efficient workflows don’t rely on any single platform. Because the truth is, single AI tool handles every stage of a creative campaign equally well.
Research tools prioritize accuracy
Strategy tools prioritize ideation
Writing tools prioritize tone and scale
The most efficient workflows assign each stage to the tool best suited to that purpose. The instinct to find one tool that does it all is understandable—fewer logins, less context switching. But in practice, that approach creates bottlenecks and produces generic output.
A coordinated stack of specialized tools, each with a clearly defined job, consistently outperforms any single-platform approach for quality, speed, and brand consistency.
We are breaking it all down on our latest blog.

So honored to have been featured in @heragenda sharing a chapter that redefined resilience for me.
Running my business from a NICU room forced me to let go of control and learn how to adapt in real time. I’ve come to see resilience as staying flexible, building options, and focusing on the feeling I want to move toward—even in the hardest moments.
How do you navigate reinvention when life throws the unexpected your way?
What if resilience isn’t about pushing through—but learning how to reshape?
“When reinvention feels gut-wrenching, I shift my focus to how I want to feel on the other side.”
Grateful to @dreamersdoers for helping make this feature possible!

#ad Sometimes we need a creative boost to unlock possibilities. I recently used some of the Workflow Quick Guides in @adobefirefly and I found new ways to generate better results when using AI.
To access these workflows go to the main screen in Adobe Firefly, select one you would like to use some options are:
• Explore Brand Imagery options
• Make a collage
• Make a fashion design mood board
To save them just click on remix template.
PRO tip: copy and paste all the workflows you would use to a special board for future access.

What do you do when you go Live with @adobelive and you don’t have a camera crew to capture you in action?
You take your favorite video assistant aka my @insta360 X5 and have it record my BTS. Then I did some quick edits inside the 360 app to add movement, upload images of what I worked on in Firefly boards and tadaaaa. It took me a few minutes to create an edited video that would normally have required multiple angle shots.
I’m shooting this as a member of the Insta360 Creator Capture Program and I'm loving how my X5 is supporting me in my era of more doing and less overthinking!
