We returned to Voices Radio on Tuesday for part two of our three-part residency in the lead-up to Multi Multi, sitting down with our stage hosts to get into who they are and what they’ll be bringing to the festival in June.
London mainstays @nickvstephens (The Gun) and @harryjames707 (Snap, Crackle & Pop) joined James in the studio, talking all things London, Multi Multi, and sharing a few records along the way. A great chat with old friends.

I’m going back in..! Inspired by the the absolute fucking state of it - and @franktope , I am belatedly running the Hackney Half for my long time friends @hackney_quest .
With chaos reigning from Iran to Venezuela via White Hart lane, it’s easy and forget the help needed on your doorstep. We need good people looking after our communities, this is why I’m running with my friends this May.
I’ve never been much of a runner, it seems to come easily to a lot of people.. not I unfortunately. I just love the sweaty, ‘flirting with expiring’ look that comes free with this particular endeavour.. there will definitely be a bit of that going on, as this HQ top is somewhat tighter this decade.. (I last ran in 2017).
If you have grown up in Hackney, (or lived here a good while) you will know someone who has been helped by Hackney Quest - they are an institution that needs protecting.. if you could bung some cash in to make my looking silly worthwhile, I would be really grateful ❤️

Hello all,
The Gun, 235 Well Street has reopened under new management, and with a new direction. It’s good news for Well Street to have the premises open again, and I’ve heard they do a killer Wagyu steak too. @thegunhackney
What now for us? As you may notice from the change in handle, we are still very much active in taking what defined our time at The Gun : the people, the spirit and, very importantly, the music to numerous festivals this year.. (read ‘have a good time’ )
Until we find a permanent home for our hedonistic endeavours… it’s pretty tough out there - so we aren’t rushing it until we find the perfect space - and a sustainable rent.
We hope you will join us this year whilst we are a ‘Bosman’-like entity’ We guarantee it’ll be a lot of fun… last year’s festivities certainly helped to get us through the summer after the sadness of calling time on our little boozer.
Find us in a room or on a stage at the already announced @buggedoutclub weekender, @multimultifestival , and @peep.festival , with more stuff confirmed in the pipeline line too.

Greetings all - we’re back for a Hackney one off!
inspired by @deathinvegasmusic excellent HOLY parties, we have the opportunity to do a Sunday Gun takeover at Dalston’s @cu_dalston venue.
We are really pleased to put on Philipp Otterbach for a 4 Hour set ( 8pm till Midnight)
Philipp played The Gun almost exactly a year ago, after we were introduced by @vladimir_ivkovic , & Philipp is on @offenmusic - Philipp’s set remains one of our favourite nights we hosted there.. his brand of scuzzy beats, loops and wobbly, dubby bass were prime gun juice - and those of us there remember it as classic.
This is why we wanted to make this happen - in Hackney and it had to be s Sunday really.. .
The venue felt perfect for us as it has an enormous, filthy stack of speakers and is already bathed in our red medium..
With Phil being in the country it seemed too good to miss out on.
We hope you will come and join us on NOV 9th - its free entry from 6-8 and £10 after .. (get down early )
