Amalgam, 2025, 40 x 24 in, acrylic and oil pastel on canvas
There are a few exciting things happening all at once in this wild life of mine, but you’ll be happy to hear that I’m still keeping my eye on the metaphorical prize and making some beautiful paintings

Two more weekends to see NO POINT IN MAKING MYSELF COMFORTABLE @springsprojects curated by @triceradee@vikroth — If you haven’t seen it, this show is absolutely worth the trip. Evocative. Emotionally and intellectually layered. Even lovelier in person, but I hope you enjoy these great documentation photos by @artphotobiz in the meantime.
Something quite magical happened this weekend. I was held by the sweetest audience and transformed. Together we went somewhere freer, realer, looser, lighter. Thank you so much for being there with me! And thank you @springsprojects@vikroth@triceradee for this lovely opportunity
And yes, there were puppets. And so much more. And performing simply never felt this good before.
It’s been a minute since I performed, and I am so excited to bring you something so fresh and new on May 9th @springsprojects as part of the programming for NO POINT MAKING MYSELF COMFORTABLE curated by @vikroth@triceradee — New songs, PUPPETS! and poems I’ve never read to you. You are invited and I do hope you come take a glimpse inside this brain of mine. Wonders and strangeness await you.
Join us Saturday, May 9 at 5PM for an intimate performance by Nic Koller— full of confessional music, text, puppetry, and movement. Through the lens of self-excavation, Nic’s work delves into the poetry of impermanence, peeling back layers of selfhood while reclaiming their body in all its enormity, distortion, rupture and glitch.
I’m happy I took lots of photos to document the ✨vibes✨ at the opening of NO POINT IN MAKING MYSELF COMFORTABLE @springsprojects So many beloved friends were there and everything is simply stunning @vikroth@triceradee I feel truly lucky to be a part of this beautiful show.
It’ll all be up through May 23rd, AND I’ll be performing live at the gallery on Saturday, May 9th, so please mark that on your calendars!
NO POINT(…) explores the body, abstraction, and queerness, and I’m building out a performance/set that will resonate with that world. It’s so special to create something that responds directly to its environment — I can’t wait to share this with you!
I believed in the potential of this tall, narrow painting (“Dance of the Giant Slayer”) so much that I completely repainted it to bring it into its final form… and so it feels especially meaningful to have it included in NO POINT IN MAKING MYSELF COMFORTABLE a group show about queerness and the body curated by @vikroth@triceradee at @springsprojects SAVE THE DATE:
Opening Friday, April 17th, 6-9pm
AND I am performing Saturday, May 9th at 5pm
I’d love for these dates to be on your calendar!!

Part 2 of the new photos of my recent work:
The Way Forward, 2025, 30x 23 in, Oil pastel and acrylic on canvas
Promethean, 2025, 30x22 in, Oil pastel and acrylic on canvas
Cerberus, 2025, 38 x 20 in, Oil pastel and acrylic on canvas
Kick Kick, 2025, 40 in x 28 in, Oil pastel and acrylic on canvas
And it’s looking like there will be a part 3 soon enough— I’m working on a couple new paintings (one thats practically done) and touching up a couple more to get them photo ready.
It’s time to tell the whole story… and so I’m embarking on building the “praxis” side of my website [website link in bio] starting with 🫧POETRY🫧 I’m wanting to tell the story of how my poetry practice has influenced both my visual art and music. If you’re curious and have time for some reading (and an interest in poetry), there are some 25 poems that await you online
Also sharing an image of new photos of my paintings on the website because I’m also just feeling pretty dang happy and satisfied about that update I made recently.
Wow! My painting was mentioned in a review of “La Banda 2026” on Two Coats of Paint by Jonathon Agin 🙏🏻🖤🙏🏻 [link in bio] truly whatta nice surprise.
The show is up at @tvprojects.bk through March 15th with a closing ceremony on Saturday, March 14th at 4-6pm. You should see this beautiful show before it closes
I recently took nicer documentation pics and updated my website. Feeling proud of this body of work and excited to continue to push forward. Here’s some of the new photos —>
