A long time coming but to celebrate Pillionâs release in the US đşđ¸ today, I can finally share some stills from the film.

@hlighton again on this film has been an absolute highlight of my career, and the response itâs had is so unexpected and overwhelming. Finally Iâve got an opportunity to shout out our amazing crew, who worked tirelessly over 5 weeks in Bromley.

@sebastiannowell brought their signature ingenuity to the challenges of the budget, and they leapt at a new style of working for us. Creating subtle worlds of control while trying to keep the lighting feeling authenticâŚand cheap. They taped Amazon LED security lights to hundreds of meters of street lamps, and lit night exteriors with 150w pocket LEDs from SIRUI that Iâd seen in a sponsored ad.

@edlivoo is eternally a delight and did an amazing job when I came to him with a host of cheap gimbals and ideas to save time in places weâd wanted to lay hundreds of feet of track. He didnt even laugh at me when I suggested we disguise a dolly in a supermarket shopping cage full of boxes to lay low on Bromley High street.

@umpaqueen took on the challenge of no rehearsals and no marks and rose to the occasion.
@hlighton likes to capture the first instincts of the actors in the can on the first try, which creates an electricity in the room which is like nothing else. Itâs a big ask to the crew, especially alongside managing a host of cameras and a mix of cinemodded stills lenses and proper cinema primes to make the hare brained rigs work.

@harborpictureco pulled out the stops to deliver our dreams of 35mm print inspired look. They wrangled footage from Alexas, Komodos, and DJI ronin 4ds into something seamless and beautiful. Toby was more adventurous than weâve been in the past in terms of textural work and itâs probably my favourite look weâve made together.
