October 2025 - For the second year in a row I hosted cyclocross practices for the WMN+ crowd (@pgh_wmn_cx ) every Wednesday in fall. Last year I really focused on getting beginners into the sport. This year I had to up my game since each practice was a mixture of folks who raced before and those who were brand new. Watching people build skills, have fun, and get stoked on ‘cross has been such an unexpected delight. So pumped that folks kept coming out week after week! Can’t wait to do it again in 2026!
September 6, 2025 — Raystown Lake. After all the fun at Jake’s Rocks, we vowed to do it again. That Saturday we rode… and may have accidentally tacked on a *few* extra miles on the fly staying out for hours longer than planned. Worth it. But man, so much climbing. Next time I’m bringing my hardtail. Sunday came and everyone was too wiped from the previous day’s efforts, so we hiked and goofed around in Trough Creek. So thankful for all my adventure pals!
Summer 2025 - This is my official WMN+ MTB (@wmnplus.mtb ) appreciation post. @danie.dawn did a big ol’ awesome thing in 2025 and created the inclusive MTB community we all needed. It was amazing. There were weekly and monthly MTB rides all over the PGH area that brought so many peeps out on their MTB no matter their skill level. My stoke increased exponentially. It hands down made my year on the bike. It was so easy to ride with other wmn! And the vibes! Let me tell you, they were fantastic, a true testament to Dani’s overflowing positivity and effervescent personality. Let’s do this again in 2026!!
August 9, 2025 - Jake’s Rocks, part two: The Pals
Yes, the trails are fantastic and yes, the forest is so pretty, but those magical vibes that make the trip so spectacular come from the grade A, top notch humans. Thankful for this weird and wonderful bunch of bike pals!
August 9, 2025 - Jake’s Rocks, part one: The Riding.
Something magical happens in the woods at Jake’s Rocks every year in August. The trails are so good, the forest is so pretty (those ferns, that glorious filtered light) and the stoke is so high. Nothing can quite compare.
July 15, 2025 — Steamboat Springs, CO. Kept the outdoor fun rolling for @bekasaurus ’s 40th! We did some DH bike park laps (it’s wild how tired your legs get with barely any pedaling) and then got chauffeured up the mountain for a dreamy MTB ride down Flash of Gold. Bonus: a totally justified moment to strut around in my cowboy hat and glorious ’90s Western shirt.
July 11, 2025 — Four days rafting the Green River through Dinosaur National Monument for @bekasaurus ’s 40th. Unreal canyons, wild rapids, hilarious guides, dream campsites and Fritos on everything. Would totally do it again.
